FantasyPros
For years, it's been Evans' show in Tampa Bay. He's averaged 148 targets over the last four years. He'll now be competing with Chris Godwin and O.J. Howard, who have carved out important roles in the offense. The arrival of Bruce Arians is a positive on the offense as a whole, but the running backs are going to score a lot more points than they did under Dirk Koetter. Evans is a relatively safe pick as a low-end WR1 but his ceiling may not be what it used to beIf you're looking for a running back who comes with top-six upside but also comes with a high-degree of uncertainty, Jones is your guy. He's the most talented running back on what should be a top-five scoring offense, but it appears the Packers haven't given up on Jamaal Williams just yet. He's ideally someone you snag as your second running back due to the risk associated with him
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Evans has monster upside as always and a better system under Bruce Arians could deliver his best season yet.Jones is an extremely efficient back with loads of upside in a new, favorable system. He just needs to put all of these soft tissue injuries in the rearview mirror.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Evans has remarkably started his career with five consecutive 1,000 yard seasons. The touchdowns aren't consistent, but fantasy owners can rely on him to post plenty of points once again. The primary concern is that Chris Godwin and O.J. Howard may be good enough cut into his target share a bit, but Evans should still be drafted as a WR1.While on the field, Jones was an elusive as any runner in the NFL. The issue, of course, was that Green Bay refused to use him like the three-down machine he can be. That may change with a new coach in town, but until we are certain he is a 300 touch guy, he will likely fall to the third round. Don't mistake that for meaning he doesn't have top 5 RB upside, however, because he most certainly does.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Evans has been a relatively consistent fantasy force, though his touchdown catches have varied wildly from year-to-year. He'll be in a new offense with Bruce Arians running the show, but that certainly shouldn't be a negative, as Arians' offensive scheme should lead to plenty of production. Although both DeSean Jackson and Adam Humphries are gone, Chris Godwin should take on a larger role. In other words, you should expect Evans to see similar targets and give similar production to last year, making him a strong WR1.Despite Mike McCarthy's best efforts to hold him back, Jones finally broke out last year. He has succeeded nearly every time he has been given a significant workload and has improved enough as a pass-blocker to warrant an every-down role. But he's battled a hamstring injury this preseason and Matt LaFleur has suggested that he intends to get Jamaal Williams and Dexter Williams some additional work. Still, Jones makes a solid RB2, as his spot in a strong offense and upside should mitigate much of his downside.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Can struggle with week-to-week consistency, but he rarely misses a game and has averaged a 79/1220/8 line in his 5 seasons, numbers he's a great bet to reach in this year's Tampa environmentAmong RBs with at least 130 carries in '18, saw 4th-lowest % of 8-man fronts (thank you, Aaron Rodgers) - GB wants to throw more to RBs which could be a further boon for Jones, assuming health
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Mike Evans is one of the most gifted receivers in the NFL, but he fails to dominate in the red zone the way he should. I think he will have a very good season, but I think Godwin will be the best fantasy wide receiver in Tampa Bay.Jones was one of the best running backs in the NFL in the 2nd half of the 2018 season. As long as the new coaching staff continues that usage, he should be a RB1 in 2019. He should also see more targets in the passing game, something the prior coaching staff did not do enough of last year.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Aaron Jones 16 game-pace last season: 1047 yards rushing and 12 rushing TDs 300 receiving yards and 1 TD And keep in mind that he didn't get nearly as many touches as he deserved. He's dripping with upside.
Kyle Yates
The Fantasy Footballers
Mike Evans put up the quietest 1,500 receiving yard season ever last year. He now gets an offensive mastermind in Bruce Arians in as head coach and all indications point to them throwing the ball a ton this season. The running game is shaky, at best, and the defense still has massive holes on that roster. The Bucs are going to air the ball out this season and Mike Evans stands to be the biggest beneficiary. He's an incredible value at his current ADP.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
Mike Evans has never been under 1,000 yards in his 5 year career. The Bucs also traded DeSean Jackson and didn't resign Adam Humphries. It might not seem like a lot, but that's 179 vacated targets. Some of that will go to Howard and Godwin...but some will also go to Evans. I have him projected for 142 targets this season, but I could easily see him going over 150. He had less of a red zone role than I expected last season, but those numbers should rebound in 2019. Evans is a great pick, and his ADP is really nice in the mid to late second round.Assuming he stays healthy, Aaron Jones is going to be a RB1 this season. He's the best RB on that depth chart by a mile, and he was fantastic when they finally gave him the workload he deserves. Jones had the most carries of 10+ yards of any RB with less than 150 carries last season, while he lead the league in YPC, and was 5th in percentage of runs that gain positive yards (Scott Barrett). The only concern with Jones is his health. He's suffered three separate MCL sprains, a pulled hamstring, and has just 4 career games over 15 carries...and exactly 0 games with 20 or more carries. We just don't know if he's capable of handling the workload we want. He's done everything he can over the offseason to try and get his body into perfect shape. He's down to 5.3% body fat as part of a new diet and workout strategy. At the end of the day, he's worth the gamble in the third round. All of the sure thing RB's are gone at this point, and you start to run out of RB's with top 10 upside. Jones absolutely has that sort of upside in his range of outcomes...he just needs to stay on the field.
