Thielen wasted no time developing a solid rapport with Kirk Cousins in the QB's first season as a Viking in 2018. Last year was a different story, as Thielen missed six games with a hamstring injury. His 12 catches for 179 yards over two playoff games in January is encouraging, and he'll be the top option in Minnesota's 2020 passing game with Stefon Diggs having been traded.A season after a fractured ankle ended Beckham's 2017 in Week 5, he sustained a bruised quadriceps that sidelined him for the final four games of 2018. Although he suited up for all 16 games last season, he played through a core muscle injury that required surgery in January. He enters 2020 as an injury risk and with his fantasy fate tied to an immature QB who was dreadful in '19.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
For reasons I don't understand, Adam Thielan is going off the board as the WR11. After 14 games without topping 8 targets, you'd think the love for the soon-t-be 30-year-old would have faded but people are still flocking to him, hoping for a repeat of his historic eight game 100+ yard/10+ target stretch. Sadly, that was a long time ago and since then Gary Kubiak's scheme has come in and it just doesn't seem to suit him. While the absence of Stefon Diggs should ensure more volume, Thielan is likely to no longer play 40% of his snaps in the slot with Justin Jefferson arriving. Given he's three times as effective from the slot from a fantasy persepctive, that's a big issue! It's time to fade Adam Thielen.OBJ once again battled injuries and poor QB play as he disappointed for the third consecutive season. This year was arguably worse as he played 16 games despite injury but continued to disappoint most weeks. It's very difficult to trust Odell to any extent, especially with the potential move to an even more run-heavy offense and the arrival of Austin Hooper. While the possible injury issues for Jarvis Landry may initially open up some opportunities, there are many safer options this high in the draft.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
It was a down year for Thielen in 2019, who's suddenly 30 years old (August 22nd, he will be) with back problems. That's not a recipe for success for a wide receiver, though it helps that he's the only steady presence at wide receiver. Most will look at the target totals from last year and wonder where his targets come from, but don't forget that Thielen saw 298 targets over the previous two seasons. Last year was an incredibly efficient year for the Vikings on the ground, and when you combine the fact that Thielen missed half the season, you can understand why their pass attempts came crashing down to earth. With the defense likely taking a step back after losing many starters, we should expect to see their run-to-pass ratio come back towards the league average, which would help Thielen's target potential. Knowing that he's the only receiver in the starting lineup who has any chemistry with Cousins, we should expect at least eight targets per game. That calls for him being a high-end WR2 at the very least when he's in the lineup, though his injury concerns have to be built into his cost. His current ADP is the WR11, which is too expensive for the risk you're taking on.What in the world happened to Beckham in 2019? If we were replaying last season, we wouldn't be drafting him until the fifth or sixth round of fantasy drafts. But that's where fantasy players go wrong. That's a one-year sample size. We had 59 career games prior to that we can look at where he was the best game-by-game fantasy wide receiver of all-time. Which do you trust? Everyone on the Browns struggled last year and knowing that Beckham was playing through a hernia only added to the disappointment. 2019 was the first year he'd posted WR2 or better numbers in less than 66.7 percent of his games (which is ridiculous). We know the offense is changing, but that also comes with some concerns. While in Minnesota last year, Kevin Stefanski's wide receivers combined for just 201 targets and a 43.1 percent target share, which ranked as the fourth-lowest mark in football. Stefon Diggs, who is also very talented, saw just 94 targets in 15 games last year. While I don't expect the Browns to be as run-heavy as the Vikings were, it's an added level of concern. But here's the thing - it's not like a lot of the wide receivers in the 10-15 range don't come with similar issues or question marks. Beckham has done it before and has true No. 1 overall wide receiver upside. He's in the prime of his career at 27 years old and his only competition for targets (Jarvis Landry) is coming off hip surgery. Getting him as your high-end WR2 is worth it.
Frank Bonincontri
Fantasy Wire HQ
Can Thielen keep the consistency going without Stefon DIggs? Are the injuries behind him?Curious to see if he is truly over the 2019 injuries, but I just don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. Can't live off that one-handed catch forever...
Rob Wilson
The Fantasy Footballers
Thielen should produce borderline WR1 numbers as the main main in Minnesota.OBJ looks to bounce back ala Deandre Hopkins in 2016. He could produce an elite season for an average cost. Top target for teams going RB-RB
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
People seem to be forgetting about Adam Thielen this year due to the fact that he missed the final six games of 2019. Word of advice, don't ignore him. With Stefon Diggs now in Buffalo, Thielen is going to be a target magnet, especially in the red-zone. He is a solid WR2 with legitimate WR1 upside. There may not be a more confusing WR in fantasy than OBJ. After his trade to Cleveland last year it seemed like he was primed for his best season yet, things did not go the way he expected. It was a very disappointing season for OBJ last year and now he needs to prove that he still has WR1 talent. That being said, if he and Baker Mayfield get on the same page, OBJ should outperform his ADP fairly easily.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Beckham fought through a core injury all last year, which he addressed this offseason with surgery. His talent is undeniable, but there are plenty of red flags. He's missed 21 games already in his career, has to share targets with a crowded group of pass-catchers, and will be playing for a head coach in Kevin Stefanski whose offense ran the ball 48% of the time last year. So it's unlikely that Beckham is going to see close to the more than 10 targets per game he has averaged in his career. There's immense upside with Beckham because, well, he's Beckham. But he's not going to see the 24.9% target share he saw last year, so you're better off taking him as your WR2 and hoping everything breaks right.

Could push lofty 10 targets per game with WR Diggs out of the picture and new OC Kubiak likely to throw more often than old OC Stefanski didFlashed occasional vintage play-making skills in 2019 despite playing through sports hernia - at 27, with health restored, expect a big rebound, especially if WR Landry misses time

Thielen ended up missing 6 games due to injury and he finished with 424 yards from scrimmage and 7 touchdowns. He should rebound from that with a healthy 2020 season, but he is more of a low-end WR2 or high-end WR3 in an offense that features RB Dalvin Cook.OBJ had a horrible first year in Cleveland with 1,045 yards receiving and 4 receiving touchdowns. He is more of a WR2 that needs to stay healthy and have better chemistry with Baker Mayfield to achieve WR1 status.

With Stefon Diggs being traded to the Buffalo Bills, Thielen has an incredible opportunity in front of him right now. While Justin Jefferson will take away some targets, Thielen's in line for a huge season. As long as he can stay healthy, he'll be a borderline WR1 all year.OBJ is moving into the Adam Thielen role in Kevin Stefanksi's offense and should be the target leader in this offense. As long as he can stay healthy, OBJ has the potential to finish the season as a high-end WR1. However, there are legitimate concerns regarding OBJ's health and whether or not he's going to be to able to stay on the field for all 16 games. The benefit this season, versus in previous years, is that those concerns are baked into Beckham's ADP. He's a solid WR2 addition for your roster with WR1 upside.

Adam Thielen is a fake value and that entire Vikings offense is going to be a mess post-Diggs. Don't bet on age 30 bounceback years from injury at a top 4 round price. @FF_RyanBOdell saw 137 targets last season and received a 26% target share, which led the team. Odell saw 15 targets in the red zone, but only came down with 1 TD in goal line situations. He finished with 4 TDs on the season. During the offseason Odell had sports hernia surgery and it was reported that he is near full health. In an interview he stated, "I would honestly say this is probably going to be one of my best seasons -- bigger, stronger, faster. This my time.'' Odell saw the 3rd most air yards last season, with 1,801. He is due for positive regression in a few different areas. @gnarlynickk

The Vikings went from 6th to 30th in attempts following the firing of Defilipo and promotion of Kevin Stefansky. Cousins thrived in the new system, ranking 9th in play action pass attempts. Thielen has seen a steady decline in targets dating all the way back to last year when Dalvin Cook returned from injury and the OC changes were made. Injuries have been an issue as well.Mulligan please. Played the year hampered by his core and a coach. Odell Beckham in the Kevin Stefanski, Stefon Diggs role would be awesome because Odell is better..Odell had the second most deep targets in 2019, with some of the worst production. Only the Carolina duo had worse numbers, of WRs with at least 21 deep targets, go figure.
