OJ Howard played roughly two-thirds of the offensive snaps during the first 2 years of his career. So far this preseason, he's been in on 21 of Jameis Winston's 22 snaps. @AdamLevitan

BRoto Fantasy
Winston is most effective when throwing to his TEs. The biggest knock against Howard might be that Arians doesn't use his TEs, but Howard lined up in the slot or out-wide on 46% of his snaps last season (According to Graham Barfield).Ridley is the 22nd WR off the board in .5 PPR leagues. Last season, he played in 62% of the falcons plays and had 92 targets. He ended with 10 TDs but was still, at times, playing second fiddle to Mohammed Sanu (The GOAT QB). If Ryan regresses and Ridley's efficiency decreases, Ridley will be a WR4. I'm not comfortable with him as my WR2.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
O.J. Howard's 11.8 yards per target in 2018 ranks as the second-highest mark of all-time among tight ends who saw at least 40 targets. His mark of 11.1 yards per target in 2017 would rank fifth all-time, but he just missed the cutoff with 39 targets. His career mark of 11.5 yards per target is the best of all-time (since they started tracking targets). In short, he's a rock-solid presence when healthy, but he needs to stay on the fieldIt's not often we see a rookie wide receiver make an impact in fantasy football the way Ridley did, especially when there's a stud wide receiver on the other side of the field like Julio Jones. Despite that, Ridley popped-off for 821 yards and 10 touchdowns, finishing as the WR20. While some would expect him to build on that, the Falcons aren't likely to throw the ball as much as they did in 2018 due to their defensive stars being healthy again. He should offer a bit more consistency, though, and if something were to happen to Jones, he'd immediately be a top-15 play every week
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Howard may have finished as the TE13 last season but let's not forget that he only played 10 games and actually had more fantasy points per game than TE5, Jared Cook. Not only that, but Howard with get a full season of Jameis Winston who loves TEs nearly as much as anyone in the game. Howard breaks big plays and is a red-zone threat so it is within the realm of possibility that he ends up TE1 by season's end.Last season Ridley played just 61% of the Falcons snaps. Most consider him to be the clear-cut #2 in Atlanta, but outside of a few big flashes, Ridley was the #3 option for Matt Ryan behind Sanu. That should change this year, but with Julio hogging the majority of the targets, Ridley's upside is still stunted.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
O.J. Howard is set up to have a monster season in 2019. With Jackson and Humphries gone there are a lot of targets up for grabs. This is a team likely to finish in the top 7 in both pass attempts and passing TD's, so taking one of the three clear top targets is smart. Even when I give him an extremely fair 17% target market share, Howard gets a projection of 68/1063/9. That sort of stat line has him right on par with the top tier of Kelce/Ertz/Kittle. Howard is one of the TE's I would target in the middle rounds.Calvin Ridley is an extremely interesting pick this season. There doesn't seem to be any buzz around him, even after his great rookie season. He finished with a 64/821/10 stat line in his first season, and while the per reception TD rate is going to regress, there's plenty of room for his volume to increase. Ridley commanded 92 targets last year, while only playing on 62% of Matt Ryan's snaps. We should expect that number to be at least 80% this season, leading to a much larger target market share. As it currently stands, I have Ridley with an extremely reasonable 18.5% target market share, and 10% regression on his TD's per reception. Under those settings he's projected to finish with a 70/881/9.5 stat line...which is the 17th highest projection among WR's. Yet he's being drafted as the WR 26. That's great value!
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Howard had only 34 receptions, but they went for 565 yards and 5 receiving touchdowns. If the Buccaneers ever figure out how to use him, they have one of the most physically gifted tight ends in the NFL that could be like the tight ends in the top-tier.Ridley had 64 receptions for 821 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns last year. He is a solid WR3 bet that will likely have less touchdowns in 2019, but more receptions and receiving yards.
