Rivers is again coming at a discounted price. He's an unsexy but stable QB1 that can be had relatively late. I do wonder if the potential absence of Melvin Gordon hurts him and LA's offense.Trubisky has the system and weapons to be a superstar. I'm just not sold yet
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Rivers is a bit like the Rodney Dangerfield of fantasy quarterbacks: He gets no respect. He basically has no downside: he rarely misses games, he has an outstanding group of playmakers on the offensive side of the ball, and he's coming off one of his best seasons ever. He almost certainly won't blow you away with his numbers - but he's a set it and forget it guy who you can get later than you should be able to.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Should be a QB1 streaming option. Consistent. In 2018, had 6 games with 19 points or more, 3 games in single digits, 5 in between. A mercurial player who can hopefully take the next step this season.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Rivers was the 11th ranked fantasy quarterback thanks to 4,308 yards and 32 passing touchdowns in 2018. He remains a low-end QB on an offense that is one of the best in the NFL.Trubisky made a big jump in year two and he was the 15th ranked fantasy quarterback with 24 passing touchdowns and 3 rushing touchdowns. His solid rushing numbers combined with him now being in Matt Nagy's system for a second year should make him a solid QB2 in 2019.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
Chicago Tribune on #Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky's third training camp: "Hasn't exactly passed the eye test. ... Too many INTs, too many throws off the mark, and too many days where the QB and his offense have been uneven." @EvanSilva
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Trubisky was 11th in QB PPG last season. His legs give him a nice bonus as he ended the season with 421 rushing yards and 3 TDs in 14 games. Entering a second season under Matt Nagy, who's offense allowed Trubisky to end 9th in True Throw Value last season, Trubisky is primed to take a jump.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Here's the example of a player who's top-five at his position in real-life, but not when it comes to fantasy. You've probably heard it a million times - Rivers has been a top-14 quarterback in 11-of-13 seasons, so you're drafting him at his floor if he's being taken as the QB14. Well, no. Rivers is a very consistent quarterback, but he's not going to help lead your team to a championship. There was just one game in 2018 where he totaled more than 24 fantasy points, and it's because his defense has continually gotten better. He also doesn't offer anything rushing, so unless his defense takes a step back in 2019, he's not going to have much of a chance to deliver much better numbers in 2019He missed two full games last year, had an entirely new offense to learn, and had all new pass-catchers. Seriously, not one was the same. Despite that, he finished as the QB15 on the season (No. 11 in points per game). It'll be his second year in Matt Nagy's offense and he didn't lose anyone. If you don't realize he has upside similar to Cam Newton, you're missing something. He rushed for at least 43 yards on five separate occasions. Most don't realize that despite playing in the same number of games and throwing 52 fewer passes, Trubisky outscored Baker Mayfield by 23.0 fantasy points in 2018.

Fantasy Football Advice
Rivers is a solid late round pick this season. The Chargers have been hit with the injury bug for a few seasons in a row now...but this could be the year they're finally healthy. His supporting cast of Allen/Gordon/Williams/Henry/Ekeler is one of the best in the league. He's thrown for over 4,300 yards in each of the last 4 seasons, averaging 30.5 TD's per season over that stretch. He, somewhat impressively, hasn't scored a rushing TD since 2011. So all of his value comes through the air. That likely means he won't finish in the top 5, but if his team can stay healthy (and not hold out) this season, then 38 TD passes is within his range of outcomes. I'm comfortable drafting Rivers late in drafts if you miss out on the earlier options.Trubisky is an interesting late round pick this season. The Bears ranked 10th in scoring last season, and I expect them to take a small step forward this year. Trubisky has another offseason with Matt Nagy, and the team has upgraded their weapons. The core of Cohen/Robinson/Trubisky/Miller is returning, but they've also added gadget player Cordarrelle Patterson, along with rookie David Montgomery. Trubisky should also add around 500 rushing yards on the ground, and we all know how important rushing yards are to stabilizing QB production for fantasy. My only concern with Mitch is that I have no idea if he's a good QB or not. We've seen flashes of greatness out of him, but also games where he just falls apart. That sort of production is going to be frustrating for fantasy, which is why I'm hesitant to use him as my QB in a single QB league. The upside is there, but I really have no idea if he'll capitalize on it. If you think he will, then draft him. If not, then there are a million other late round QB's you can target.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Since throwing 661 passes four years ago, the Chargers have slowly been pulling it back, all the way down to 508 in 2018. While he does have killer weapons in the receiving game, Gordon, Ekeler and even Justin Jackson make it likely that Rivers' fantasy production will again be hindered by the running game. Furthermore, his 6.3% TD-rate is almost certain to come down as well so don't be surprised if he ends up lower than his standard fringe QB1 finish.Trubisky was not only much improved in the passing game last year, but he finished with 421 rushing yards and 3 scores on the ground. For a three week stretch, he was the top scorer not only in the NFL but in fantasy football history. There is a big ceiling here but he is also one of the riskiest week to week options in the QB2 range as well.
