Booker saw 30% of the Broncos snaps last season. With that usage likely out of the window now, there's room for Lindsay to be very good even with the involvement of Royce Freeman. Things were looking up for Lindsay when his OC referred to him and Freeman as Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman, but now his ceiling is capped with the signing of the pass-catching specialist Theo Riddick.Ridley is the 22nd WR off the board in .5 PPR leagues. Last season, he played in 62% of the falcons plays and had 92 targets. He ended with 10 TDs but was still, at times, playing second fiddle to Mohammed Sanu (The GOAT QB). If Ryan regresses and Ridley's efficiency decreases, Ridley will be a WR4. I'm not comfortable with him as my WR2.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Lindsay had over 1000 rushing yards, over 200 receiving yards and over 10 TDs last season. Despite that performance, he is now being disrespected and is expected to split carries. I still like Lindsay and expect him to get the lion's share of the touches. Solid pick at ADP.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
It's pretty rare to see a running back who finished top-12 his rookie season despite missing a game fall down draft boards the following year, especially when the team didn't add another running back. That's precisely the case with Lindsay, who will share some touches with Royce Freeman, but Lindsay has proven to be much more capable in the pass-game than Freeman, which gives him the nod as the starter. While there is some built-in risk, it's not enough to knock Lindsay out of solid RB2 territoryIt's not often we see a rookie wide receiver make an impact in fantasy football the way Ridley did, especially when there's a stud wide receiver on the other side of the field like Julio Jones. Despite that, Ridley popped-off for 821 yards and 10 touchdowns, finishing as the WR20. While some would expect him to build on that, the Falcons aren't likely to throw the ball as much as they did in 2018 due to their defensive stars being healthy again. He should offer a bit more consistency, though, and if something were to happen to Jones, he'd immediately be a top-15 play every week
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Royce Freeman is plenty talented behind Lindsay so it would be fair to worry about that, but try to remember just how great Lindsay was last season. If he is healthy, he will play, even in a new scheme. Whether that means being more involved in the passing game or not, you can rely on Lindsay to produce again if he is on the field.Last season Ridley played just 61% of the Falcons snaps. Most consider him to be the clear-cut #2 in Atlanta, but outside of a few big flashes, Ridley was the #3 option for Matt Ryan behind Sanu. That should change this year, but with Julio hogging the majority of the targets, Ridley's upside is still stunted.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Lindsey concerns me with a new coaching staff, a new quarterback, a wrist surgery injury that should be fine by training camp, and RB Royce Freeman behind him on the depth chart. He is a risky RB2 with both upside coming off a solid rookie season and uncertainty as to his role in Year 2.Ridley had 64 receptions for 821 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns last year. He is a solid WR3 bet that will likely have less touchdowns in 2019, but more receptions and receiving yards.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
I have my concerns with Lindsay. I think he's a good RB, but the Broncos aren't going to very good this season, and Freeman isn't going anywhere. He was great last season, but he was only given over 15 carries in three games, and his TD rate is likely to regress from 9 on under 200 carries. He's also likely to see a few less carries, assuming Freeman can remain healthy this season. Lindsay can absolutely pay off his ADP, and I do like him in that late 4th/early 5th round range...but he's rarely still on the board at that point.Calvin Ridley is an extremely interesting pick this season. There doesn't seem to be any buzz around him, even after his great rookie season. He finished with a 64/821/10 stat line in his first season, and while the per reception TD rate is going to regress, there's plenty of room for his volume to increase. Ridley commanded 92 targets last year, while only playing on 62% of Matt Ryan's snaps. We should expect that number to be at least 80% this season, leading to a much larger target market share. As it currently stands, I have Ridley with an extremely reasonable 18.5% target market share, and 10% regression on his TD's per reception. Under those settings he's projected to finish with a 70/881/9.5 stat line...which is the 17th highest projection among WR's. Yet he's being drafted as the WR 26. That's great value!
