FantasyPros
The big concern for Carson is going to be 2018 first round pick Rashaad Penny's role in the offense. The Seattle offense runs the ball enough to support two running backs, but Carson is hardly a guarantee to keep the bell cow role for the entire 2019 season.Lindsey concerns me with a new coaching staff, a new quarterback, and RB Royce Freeman behind him on the depth chart. He is a risky RB2 with both upside coming off a solid rookie season and uncertainty with Freeman likely to carve out a bigger role this year.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
There are a lot of reasons to like Carson. Looking at how he finished the season, it's hard to not like him. From Week 12 on, he finished as the No. 4 fantasy running back behind only Christian McCaffrey, Derrick Henry, and Saquon Barkley. While Rashaad Penny is still there (and a former first-round pick), Mike Davis exited town, leaving behind plenty of touches for Penny. While Carson may not have the upside of others who are used in the pass-game consistently, he should be a solid RB2 provided he's healthy. This, of course, is a concern after hearing Carson "had a little work done" on his knee this offseason, so stay tuned for updatesIt's pretty rare to see a running back who finished top 12 his rookie season despite missing a game fall down draft boards the following year, especially when the team didn't add another running back. That's precisely the case with Lindsay, who will share some touches with Royce Freeman, but Lindsay has proven to be much more capable in the pass-game than Freeman, which gives him the nod as the starter. While there is some built-in risk, it's not enough to knock Lindsay out of solid RB2 territory
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
It sounds like Carson is far and away the top guy in Seattle. He lacks flash, but he was the 15th best fantasy back in 2018. We can't ignore that.Lindsay was fantastic as a rookie, but Royce Freeman deserves the ball more. He's a great RB2 or Flex, but I won't be forcing the issue.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Carson wasn't even expected to be the starting running back last year, let alone be a reliable weekly running back option in fantasy like he was. But after 1,151 yards and nine touchdowns, he came into camp this year as the clear starter. That role has only been solidified, with Rashaad Penny reportecly falling further behind Carson in the Seahawks' eyes according to beat writers. With Mike Davis gone, Carson's role could grow even more. If he can get more involved in the passing game, he could have RB1 upside, but draft him as a reliable RB2 for now.Lindsay, an undrafted rookie, had a shocking breakout for the Broncos last year, totaling 1,278 yards and 10 touchdowns. He sustained a wrist injury late last year, needed surgery, and spent much of the offseason rehabbing. Despite his production, the Broncos seem intent on allowing Royce Freeman to split carries with Lindsay, and their signing of Theo Riddick (even though he is now injured) shows that they really want to spread the ball around in the backfield. Don't in any way forget about Lindsay on draft day as an RB2. But don't draft him expecting last year's numbers.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Carson is the ultimate boom or bust running back this season. Seattle may very well lead the league in carries again this season and Carson is about as efficient as they come. The concern, however, is that his knee will cause Carson to miss a few games or that Penny will play so well that he cuts into the workload. These are enough to keep him outside RB1 territory but barely.Royce Freeman is plenty talented behind Lindsay so it would be fair to worry about that, but try to remember just how great Lindsay was last season. If he is healthy, he will play, even in a new scheme. Whether that means being more involved in the passing game or not, you can rely on Lindsay to produce again if he is on the field.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
SEA RBs scored 352 FP (Std), 385 (half-PPR), 418 (PPR) last year. If Carson sees 67% = 236 (RB6 last year), 258 (RB6), 280 (RB6) If he sees 60% = 211 (RB8), 231 (RB9), 251 (RB9) 55% = 194 (RB11), 212 (RB12), 230 (RB12) Last year he scored 53%, 51% and 49% respectively. @4for4_John In 2018, the Seahawks had the highest run ratio with 55.6%. It was the highest in the #NFL since 2012 when the Seahawks led the league with 56.96%. Surprisingly enough though, Chris Carson didn't have a top five game in 0.5 formats will Week 16. @TheFFRealistExtremely small sample, but Lindsay lined up from the slot + out wide on 2-of-8 'Flacco' snaps - a glimpse of what we've heard on his usage out of camp all offseason. @NotJDaigle
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
R. Penny apologists need to understand that Carson is exactly the kind of between the tackles, chain-moving workhorse that SEA wants to hitch its wagon to - and now it wants to use him more in the passing game too
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Only six RBs had more rushes than Carson last season - behind Zeke, Barkley, DJ, Gurley, AP, and Jordan Howard (Very unlikely a lot of those guys make that list this year). In Seattle, Carson only received 55% of the team's carries. In comparison, Penny and Davis saw 19% and 26% last year. With Davis gone and not a real third option, why are we assuming Penny is going to take all of Davis' work? Or that He'll take Carson's job? If this becomes a 60-65/35-40 split, Carson will see MORE work than he saw last year. He's a steal at his ADP.Booker saw 30% of the Broncos snaps last season. With that usage likely out of the window now, there's room for Lindsay to be very good even with the involvement of Royce Freeman. Things were looking up for Lindsay when his OC referred to him and Freeman as Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman, but now his ceiling is capped with the signing of the pass-catching specialist Theo Riddick.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Lindsay had over 1000 rushing yards, over 200 receiving yards and over 10 TDs last season. Despite that performance, he is now being disrespected and is expected to split carries. I still like Lindsay and expect him to get the lion's share of the touches. Solid pick at ADP.
Sean Koerner

Fantasy Football Advice
Chris Carson put together an excellent second season last year, posting a 247/1151/9 stat line and finishing as the RB 15 in half ppr scoring. Had he played a full 16 weeks then he likely would have finished as a RB 1. This season I do expect him to get less carries. The Seahawks used a first round pick on Penny, and they're going to use him. He was better than people think last season, and teams love to be right with their early round picks. That by no means makes Carson a bad pick. The Seattle is going to run the ball a ton, so he can still pay off his ADP even if Penny gets a lot of work. I just prefer waiting and grabbing Penny later in drafts if I'm targeting this backfield.I have my concerns with Lindsay. I think he's a good RB, but the Broncos aren't going to very good this season, and Freeman isn't going anywhere. He was great last season, but he was only given over 15 carries in three games, and his TD rate is likely to regress from 9 on under 200 carries. He's also likely to see a few less carries, assuming Freeman can remain healthy this season. Lindsay can absolutely pay off his ADP, and I do like him in that late 4th/early 5th round range...but he's rarely still on the board at that point.
