Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Despite Marcus Mariota getting hurt in 2016 and struggling through much of 2017, Matthews remained consistent in his production, hauling in 61 percent of his passes for 14.5 and 15.0 yards per reception in each year. The area his production dipped, though, was targets and touchdowns. With Corey Davis slated for a bigger role in 2018, you should expect that decline to continue, though Matthews won't go away, as he's been extremely efficient with his targets. He's comparable to the Titans version of DeSean Jackson. When you watch as much football as I do, you see some things that some people may have missed. When it comes to Jackson, he and Jameis Winston were just a touch off on connecting for multiple 40-plus yard touchdowns, which would have dramatically changed how fantasy players valued him this offseason. There were four passes that I can recall right now that were within a yard or two of his hands that might turn into long touchdowns this year. Even in what was a "down year" for him, he produced WR3 numbers 50 percent of the time, which ranked 33rd among wide receivers. The lone thing that could get in the way of those numbers is Chris Godwin, who is someone who might start opposite Mike Evans in 2WR sets, and that would cripple Jackson's value. You need to pay attention to the depth chart as the preseason rolls along.

QB List
On our sister site Pitcherlist.com, we have a nickname for a pitcher that comes up to the majors and is wholly unspectacular: A Cup of Schmo. If ever there was such a thing in the NFL, it would be Rishard Matthews. Playing within a run-first Tennessee offense, Matthews is consistently ok, never extraordinary, and my bet is he will continue to do so even with an improved Mariota. Have fun!DJax lives and dies by his QB play. Last I checked, it's either Ryan Fitzpatrick or Famous Jameis Winston, soooooooooo not looking good. Oh, and those injuries too.

Matthews is a solid fantasy player who often gets overlooked. He's still the No. 1 receiver and should be able to hold that designation another season even if Corey Davis shows improvement.Jackson has a good chance to improve on his 2017 numbers, but he will likely be inconsistent, especially with Chris Godwin taking on a bigger role this year.
Andrew Gould
FantasyPros
Matthews never gets the attention he deserves despite averaging 6.5 targets and 58 yards per game in two seasons with the Titans. He solidified a WR37 season despite missing two games and posting four TDs after 2016's career-high nine. His WR52 ADP, while rising, oddly projects a steeper decline as drafters ogle hotshot teammate Corey Davis. Among the league leaders in average cushion (seven yards), he remains Marcus Mariota's steadiest downfield threat. Before pointing to a limited ceiling, he was the WR14 in 2016. He's the perfect late pick to complement an earlier upside gamble like Davis, but keep tabs on an injury that has sent him to the PUP list.Jackson mustered a career-low 47.7 YPG in Tampa Bay after ending his Washington tenure with his fifth career 1,000-yard season. He also tallied two of his three TDs and his only two games with double-digit targets playing alongside Ryan Fitzpatrick, so Jameis Winston's three-game suspension could actually boost the 31-year-old wideout's stock. Since Chris Godwin could threaten his role, Jackson is no more than a bench-depth matchup play better catered to Best Ball contests.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Matthews will likely going to take a step back this season with the expected emergence of Corey Davis and the arrival of DIon Lewis. With that said, he was a top 36 receiver each of the past two seasons so it isn't like he will drop all the way out of fantasy relevance suddenly. Each and every season Jackson is healthy, he has been flex-worthy at the very least, but that may change this year. It isn't just that he is getting older, but that the Bucs have so many weapons in the passing game for him to share the load with.

Jameis and Desean have made it a point to work on their chemistry this offseason; boom or bust weekly option with WR3 upside for the season
