Lineups
It's hard for me to grasp that more people aren't talking about D.J. Moore's phenomenal sophomore season. He had 87 catches for 1,175 yards and 4 touchdowns despite catching passes from a hobbled Cam Newton, Kyle Allen, and Will Grier. Now, Moore will benefit greatly from the introduction of Teddy Bridgewater as the new starting quarterback. The team's defense has also gotten worse since last year and will be starting several rookies, so game script should favor the passing game. Matt Rhule and Joe Brady will help scheme Moore open in creative ways and he's almost certainly due for positive touchdown regression. He's one of my favorite players for fantasy football this season, especially when you can draft him in the third or even fourth round.
Zachary Hanshew
FantasyPros
After four seasons with Gang Green as one of the team's top options, Anderson joins a Panthers team with a lot of mouths to feed. The deep-threat receiver has totaled 18 touchdowns over the last three seasons, while averaging 15 yards per reception. He can still be a fantasy-relevant contributor in 2020, though his week-to-week consistency will likely take a hit.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
The departure of Devin Funchess prior to last season made Moore the undisputed No. 1 wideout in Carolina, and he emerged as the No. 2 target in the passing game behind running back Christian McCaffrey. Because of Moore's speed and versatility, the Panthers' new coaching regime will likely continue to use him on a wide variety of route concepts.Anderson is one of only three NFL players along with Mike Evans and Kenny Golladay to rank among the league's top 20 wideouts in yards per reception while catching 50 or more passes in each of the past two seasons. With new Carolina quarterback Teddy Bridgewater having been more of a dink-and-dunk specialist in recent years, expect Anderson's 2020 output to lack consistency.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
D.J. Moore had a very impressive sophomore season, proving he's the clear Panthers WR1. He should get even better in year 3 as he's still very young and the Panthers look like they'll be regularly chasing the game. In most circumstances you'd suggest a 1000 yard receiver should expect far more than 6 TDs in his first two seasons combined, but Moore is rarely a green zone target (only three targets inside the 10 last year) so he may just be a guy who doesn't score often. The addition of Robby Anderson is also reason for concern so I'd suggest using some caution, especially in non-PPR leagues. The upside is very high if everything kicks though. It's hard to see exactly how Robby Anderson will fit into the Panthers offense, but it's fair to say he'll provide more real-life benefit than fantasy benefit. With Christian McCaffrey and D.J. Moore sucking in 130+ targets each and Curtis Samuel and Ian Thomas sucking up 160+ between them, Anderson will need the Panthers to throw a lot to get a useful amount of targets. Luckily, the Panthers look like they'll be awful this year and that could mean massive passing volume. It'll be more efficient with Teddy Bridgewater at the controls too. It fair to assume Anderson can manage 900-odd yards with half a dozen TDs and that would be good enough for a cusp WR3. That's nothing special but he's the kind of guy that needs to be drafted in every league, even though you're never excited to draft him.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
It really stinks that we may not get to see Moore play with a top-tier quarterback during his early years. He's an extremely good football player who's been stuck in a bad situation. He made the most of bad targets last year, finishing as the WR18 and delivering WR2 or better performances 60.0 percent of the time, which ranked eighth among wide receivers. Now another obstacle to cross. He'll have a new quarterback and a new head coach in 2020. The coach (Matt Rhule) also decided they needed to bring in Robby Anderson, a receiver who previously played under him, which could mean the targets get spread out a bit. The good news is that Bridgewater attempted a deep ball on just 7.1 percent of his pass attempts, which was the second-lowest rate in the NFL, and not an area where Moore operates. The talent is there for Moore to make a jump into WR1 status, but the situation doesn't seem ideal with virtually no offseason. He's best suited as a WR2 on fantasy teams, as top-24 should be his absolute floor.Switching teams as a wide receiver this offseason seems... less than ideal. It does help, however, when there's a new quarterback on that team, as well as a coach you've played for in the past. Matt Rhule was the coach while Anderson was at Temple back in 2015. The issue is that Bridgewater's strengths don't really align with Anderson's. Bridgewater threw the ball 20-plus yards just 7.1 percent of the time last year, which ranked second lowest in the league. Anderson's skill set just doesn't align with Bridgewater's strengths as a passer, though they may try to force the issue after spending $20 million over two years on Anderson. Not having an offseason to build rapport makes me a bit more concerned, especially knowing we've seen Anderson's effort level best described as "inconsistent" on the field. It's tough to say he'll be a better fantasy option than he was in New York, only now his asking price is much lower. Being taken outside the top 50 wide receivers is a discount worth taking in best-ball leagues, but in redraft, it's tough to say he'll be a consistent contributor. He's the third option, at best.

Moore brokeout last season, and should continue his ascendence into the top ten.

Former 1st round pick, D.J. Moore had a breakout season in 2019 and that was with Kyle Allen throwing him the ball. Now he has Teddy Bridgewater who looked terrific in New Orleans last year at QB. Moore could be the NFL's next star WR, the only concern I have is how long it will take for him and Bridgewater to build a connection due to COVID.After four long years on the Jets, Anderson gets a fresh start in Carolina where he'll catch passes from Teddy Bridgewater. While some may consider Bridgewater an upgrade over Sam Darnold, I don't think he's the best QB for a WR like Anderson. Anderson is known for being a deep threat and Bridgewater has never been known as a QB who goes deep. That could lead to some down weeks but he'll definitely have his big games as well. I'd stash him and use him in favorable, likely high scoring matchups.

Anderson has plenty of talent and has been the victim of erratic quarterback play throughout his career with the Jets. Reuniting with his college coach, Matt Rhule, is a positive development, but it's difficult to see him being start-worthy at any point this season. Between Christian McCaffrey, D.J. Moore, Curtis Samuel, and Ian Thomas, there just aren't going to be enough targets to make Anderson viable, especially given that because he's mostly a deep threat, he's inherently a boom-or-bust play. Add in that Teddy Bridgewater isn't the type of quarterback who will play recklessly and things just don't look like they'll fall into place for Anderson in 2020.

Moore had 1,215 yards from scrimmage, but only 4 touchdowns in 2020. Teddy Bridgewater is the quarterback in Carolina this year, Moore should easily be their most targeted wide receiver.

Moore's essentially a lock for seeing over 130 targets again in 2020. While he might not put up high TD totals in this offense, he's going to be a PPR machine this season. As long as Moore can stay healthy, he'll return value on his current ADP.Anderson's struggled the past few seasons in New York, but he's getting a change of scenery with his signing with the Carolina Panthers. Anderson has familiarity with head coach Matt Rhule, which will only help in a truncated offseason. The Panthers are most likely going to be throwing the ball a ton this season and Anderson's going to see plenty of targets heading his way. Anderson's one of my candidates to breakout this season and he's currently being drafted outside the top-50 WRs.

DJ Moore averaged 16.4 PPG (seventh-most among WRs) in 14 healthy games last year. As a 22-year-old with Kyle Allen at QB. One of the best prospects in recent memory with a historic start to his career. Panthers won't throw as much, but they should still be high-volume. @JackMiller02Robby Anderson had four avoided tackles and 3.5 YAC/reception on 52 catches in 2019.

New QB Bridgewater won't accentuate Moore's verticals skills, but he should be heavily targeted, allowing him to put his ample Yards After Catch skills to work

Love the Joe Brady hire as OC. LSU's WRs dominated under his tutelage and usage, and Moore can expect more creative playcalling than ever before. But will Robby A's addition be more a positive (clearing space) or negative (target competition)? While the Panthers have a crowded WR corps, Anderson could thrive in a system that prioritizes "SPEED in space"

Back to back years with under performance in the TDs. Despite that, he's still finished as a flex worthy, or better option, in .5ppr.Not sure why the signing is confusing for some. Did you expect everyone to just run underneath and be completely predictable? Awaiting fantasy judgement until we see what Rhule is about.
