Pack to the Future
Coleman is one part of one of the most confusing backfields in the NFL. Coleman continues to be labeled as the starter but it's Raheem Mostert who has been the more productive pf the two. Coleman has a chance to finish as a solid flex option but trusting anyone in RB in San Francisco is a risk.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Now that Matt Breida is out of town, you'd think there's more opportunity to be had for Coleman in this backfield, but the return of Jerick McKinnon could affect that. After seeing 16-plus carries in three of his first four games with the 49ers, Coleman never got more than 12 for the remainder of the season. He's best suited for a timeshare role and somewhat of a handcuff to Raheem Mostert. If Mostert were to miss time, Coleman would likely be an every-week RB2.One thing to watch with Anderson to the Panthers is that he's reunited with his old coach Matt Rhule from college. That's a check in the plus column for him, though there are a lot of mouths to feed in the Panthers offense. D.J. Moore, Curtis Samuel, Christian McCaffrey, and Ian Thomas have all shown ability to produce with targets, while Anderson has been extremely hit-or-miss while asked to be "the guy" in New York. He's best viewed as a bench option with week-to-week upside.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Coleman had several excellent games, but was all but irrelevant late in the year when Raheem Mostert took over as the primary back. Mostert will almost certainly lead the way in 2020, but given the turnover in 2019, Coleman could get his shot again at some point. If he does receive the lion's share of the carries in San Francisco, it's a perfect situation, as the 49ers ran the ball 51% of the time last year, second most in the league. Heading into 2020 drafts, however, Coleman is nothing more than a high-end handcuff for your bench.Anderson has plenty of talent and has been the victim of erratic quarterback play throughout his career with the Jets. Reuniting with his college coach, Matt Rhule, is a positive development, but it's difficult to see him being start-worthy at any point this season. Between Christian McCaffrey, D.J. Moore, Curtis Samuel, and Ian Thomas, there just aren't going to be enough targets to make Anderson viable, especially given that because he's mostly a deep threat, he's inherently a boom-or-bust play. Add in that Teddy Bridgewater isn't the type of quarterback who will play recklessly and things just don't look like they'll fall into place for Anderson in 2020.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Despite playing only 14 games last year, Coleman still finished as the RB36. He hasn't been able to recapture the magic he had in Atlanta several years ago, but he's still a fine option for your fantasy football roster. With that being said, Coleman is an intriguing hold right now in every format due to the recent news regarding Raheem Mostert. If Mostert is traded, as he has requested, Coleman becomes the de factor RB1 in Kyle Shanahan's offense. Coleman would most likely be considered a top-24 option at that point.Anderson's struggled the past few seasons in New York, but he's getting a change of scenery with his signing with the Carolina Panthers. Anderson has familiarity with head coach Matt Rhule, which will only help in a truncated offseason. The Panthers are most likely going to be throwing the ball a ton this season and Anderson's going to see plenty of targets heading his way. Anderson's one of my candidates to breakout this season and he's currently being drafted outside the top-50 WRs.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Tevin Coleman will continue the career-backup role he had last season outside two outlier 105 yard games. Raheem Mostert is so clearly the better back and while Kyle Shanahan will occasionally give the backfield over to Coleman when he has the "hot hand", Coleman really needs an injury to Mostert before you can comfortably start him in fantasy. I'll be avoiding this mess this year whenever I can help it.It's hard to see exactly how Robby Anderson will fit into the Panthers offence, but it's fair to say he'll provide more real-life benefit than fantasy benefit. With Christian McCaffrey and D.J. Moore sucking in 130+ targets each and Curtis Samuel and Ian Thomas sucking up 160+ between them, Anderson will need the Panthers to throw a lot to get a useful amount of targets. Luckily, the Panthers look like they'll be awful this year and that could mean massive passing volume. It'll be more efficient with Teddy Bridgewater at the controls too. It fair to assume Anderson can manage 900-odd yards with half a dozen TDs and that would be good enough for a cusp WR3. That's nothing special but he's the kind of guy that needs to be drafted in every league, even though you're never excited to draft him.
Kevin Wheeler

Tevin Coleman and Raheem Mostert each carried the ball 137 times in 2019, Mostert had 228 more yards rushing. @willson8tor Tevin Coleman and Raheem Mostert each totaled 180 receiving yards in 2019, Mostert had 33.3% fewer receptions (RM 14/22, TC 21/30). @willson8torRobby Anderson had four avoided tackles and 3.5 YAC/reception on 52 catches in 2019.
Seth Miller
Crossroads Fantasy Football
Not sure why the signing is confusing for some. Did you expect everyone to just run underneath and be completely predictable? Awaiting fantasy judgement until we see what Rhule is about.
