Powell is the better back between himself and Matt Forte right now, and I think that will show more in the statistics this coming season.Kelley has the lead job at the moment, but will have to fight Samaje Perine to keep that job, which if they both stay healthy, I think Perine wins.

5th Down Fantasy
Stuck in a committee with Forte, but better option of the two; top 5 in targets and receptions among RBs in 2016; stong finish to 2016 with Forte injured; 5.5 YPC last season.Has been operating as the clear cut lead back thus far.

QB List
Powell performed well down the stretch last year, and he projects to get plenty of opportunity as a talented pass-catching back this year. With the Jets' WR1 Quincy Enunwa now out for the season, Powell may well be in for a ton of targets. Still, aging stud Matt Forte is the nominal starter, and Powell's ceiling is severely limited as long as Forte is healthy.Kelley emerged late last year and was serviceable, if not amazing. The Redskins drafted Samaje Perine this year., and many expect Kelley to be overtaken as starter by the end of the season. Still, for the moment Kelley is the starter, and that's not nothing.

He's not an elite talent but he's got a great role in a good offense. sometimes thats all it takes

Jets RBs coach Stump Mitchell said at minicamp the team's plan is to use "both" Bilal Powell and Matt Forte. -RotoworldI'm not sure he keeps this job. I liked him when I was able to pick him up last year, but he doesn't play any part in the receiving game and I think Washington is going to be looking for a more dynamic player as their RB1.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
The Jets relied on Powell quite a bit to close last season and he came through with impressive efficiency. With that said, Forte has always performed well when he is healthy, which is apparently right now, so although Powell has some potential to his name, Forte seems primed to cut into that or steal all of the thunder for himself. All early indications are telling us that Kelley was passed up by the rookie Perine in the Redskins' eyes. While he held the fort down in last year's second half,

I would not draft a single Jet except Powell, who averaged 12 points per game in point per reception leagues last season. Auction Value $15 Kelley impressed at times in 2016 but has to complete with rookie Samaje Perine for work this year. This will be a camp battle to watch. Auction Value $7
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
We really want to get confirmation that he's going to be the starter, but all signs point to that being the case. He totaled 411 yards on 82 carries (5.01 YPC) over the last four games of 2016 and was the No. 2 running back over that time, behind only Le'Veon Bell. Most remember Kelley for his Monday night performance against the Packers in Week 11 where he finished with 137 yards and three touchdowns, but they must've missed what ensued after that game. In the final six games of the season, Kelley averaged just 3.33 yards per carry on 84 carries with two touchdowns. He averaged just 8.05 fantasy points per game in that stretch, leading the Redskins to go out and snag Samaje Perine in the NFL Draft. You shouldn't bet on him to retain the starting job for very long, as he can only contribute on first and second down, making the offense predictable.
Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
Powell averaged 138 yards from scrimmage filling in for an injured RB Matt Forte in the final four games of the season. Powell is their best back and he has low RB2 upside if he remains in a RBBC with Forte.Kelley should be the lead back in Washington in 2017, but he does lose touches to RB Chris Thompson and the drafting of Oklahoma RB Samaje Perine could zap his goal line touches.
