FantasyPros
All early indications are telling us that Kelley was passed up by the rookie Perine in the Redskins' eyes. While he held the fort down in last year's second half, The Packers have produced excellent fantasy running back performances for 3 of the past 4 seasons with last year being the lone exception. Montgomery was their most effective runner, but they only trusted him with double-digit carries just once. It is quite possible that Williams claims this job for himself in the pre-season and never looks back on his way to a top 15 RB finish.

Kelley has the lead job at the moment, but will have to fight Samaje Perine to keep that job, which if they both stay healthy, I think Perine wins.I like Williams as an early down back in Green Bay, which isn't a bad place to be due to the team's strong offense getting him close to the end zone and passing game leaving defenses soft up the middle. Keep a close eye on this running back battle, as the Packers have talent at the position.

Kelley impressed at times in 2016 but has to complete with rookie Samaje Perine for work this year. This will be a camp battle to watch. Auction Value $7 Rookie Jamaal Williams will try to take carries away from Ty Montgomery. He will have Fantasy value at some point in 2017, if not from the start. Auction Value $7

Most remember Kelley for his Monday night performance against the Packers in Week 11 where he finished with 137 yards and three touchdowns, but they must've missed what ensued after that game. In the final six games of the season, Kelley averaged just 3.33 yards per carry on 84 carries with two touchdowns. He averaged just 8.05 fantasy points per game in that stretch, leading the Redskins to go out and snag Samaje Perine in the NFL Draft. You shouldn't bet on him to retain the starting job for very long, as he can only contribute on first and second down, making the offense predictable.Williams is a running back built for a workhorse role, as evidenced by his seven games with 24 or more carries with BYU last year. While Ty Montgomery may be a fine converted running back, Williams was built to carry a load. Williams is a dark horse candidate to be 2017's version of Jordan Howard.

NFL Mock
I'm not sure he keeps this job. I liked him when I was able to pick him up last year, but he doesn't play any part in the receiving game and I think Washington is going to be looking for a more dynamic player as their RB1.He could have a chance to beat-out Montgomery, but so coul;d Aaron Jones who was drafted right behind Williams for GB.
Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
Kelley should be the lead back in Washington in 2017, but he does lose touches to RB Chris Thompson and the drafting of Oklahoma RB Samaje Perine could zap his goal line touches.
