Pack to the Future
Jacobs is coming off of a stellar rookies season and will now play in an offense that features some of the most explosive players in the league. The addition of Henry Ruggs should force defenses to play them deep giving Jacobs plenty of rushing lanes to run through.Robert Woods is the definition of consistency. Week in and week out you know what you're getting from Woods and fantasy football that's an incredibly valuable trait. He may not have WR1 upside, but you won't find a better WR2.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Woods is the most underappreciated WR year in and year out. He is the Rams WR1.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
We've continually heard that Jacobs is going to be more heavily involved in the passing game, though that never materialized last year, seeing just 27 targets in 13 games played. Then we heard, "we're going to involve him more in 2020." They then re-signed Jalen Richard, added Henry Ruggs, and Lynn Bowden. It's not looking likely that Jacobs sees the 50-plus targets he deserves, which lowers him down the rankings. The overall offense should improve, giving him more scoring opportunities, but relying on touchdowns is a tricky thing. He's best-suited as a high-end RB2 who has RB1 upside if they follow through on the promise to use him more in the passing game.Despite scoring just two touchdowns last year, Woods was able to finish as the No. 17 wide receiver. Why do we continually doubt that his production will continue? Under Sean McVay, he's been a WR2 or better in 21-of-43 games, which is the same as Tyreek Hill. He may not have the upside that Hill does, but as a WR2 on your team, he's gold.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
No. 13 RB in FAN PPG as rookie despite playing half his games with a shoulder fracture - an elite talent that should see a sizable bump in the passing gameBecame 1 of just 5 WRs in NFL history to catch 90 passes with 2 TD catches or less in 2019 - heavy target share, plus TD regression offers backend WR1 upside
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
There is a pretty big disconnect between what the average fantasy football player thinks about Woods and what the expert consensus thinks about him, with the latter being significantly higher. Woods scored just three touchdowns last year but there is bound to be positive regression, and he's seen at least 130 targets in each of the last two years. With Brandin Cooks gone, and with how Woods came on toward the second half of the season, he's much closer to a WR1 than fantasy managers are giving him credit for.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
Three of their first four games are against top-5 run defensesRobert Woods finished as the WR14 in PPR leagues last year with 140 targets /90 rec /1134 yards/2 TDs. With no Cooks and positive TD regression, Woods may be in for his first top-10 season of his career. He had just 2 TDs on 90 receptions which made him WR14 in 2019. Woods has also avg'd 18 carries / 136 yards / 1 TD the past two years. @amazehayes_ Woods has caught at least 85 balls, gone over 1,100 yards, and has seen 130+ targets in back-to-back seasons. @grahamBarfield
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Woods is the most underrated WR1 in the league this offseason. He's basically guaranteed to go at least 85/1100/5, has more upside than that with the departure of Cooks, never steps off the field no matter what personnel the Rams decide to use (the same can not be said for Kupp), and will likely score more TDs this season as Jared Goff had SEVEN different passing plays end up at the one-yard line last season. I will have Woods on all of my teams at his current ADP.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Jacobs is a fantastic selection in Standard formats due to the fact that he's likely going to see 270 carries in 2020. Unfortunately, he does lose a little bit of value in PPR formats with the lack of targets going his direction, but he's still likely to finish in the top-12 due to the sheer volume of carries.Over the back half of 2019, Woods was a WR1 and gave you some huge performances. This offense doesn't appear set to change from what was working for them at the end of last season, which indicates that Woods is in line for another huge season. Calvin Ridley may be the best overall value in redraft AP right now, but Woods is a close second.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
The Josh Jacobs hype is totally out of control. Currently the half-PPR RB7, he's going stupidly high in early 2020 drafts. We're talking about a guy who caught 20 balls in his rookie season in a team that just brought in two pass-catching RBs to join the locked-in Jalen Richard. Now the team has brought in two wide receivers and Jason Witten in a clear commitment to the passing game. That a bad sign for a guy who will need to add touches and maintain his high efficiency to even match his draft position. It's time to chill out and wait a little longer for Josh Jacobs.I've been on the Robert Woods hype train all off-season and it seems to finally be gaining momentum. He finished WR17 despite only scoring 2 TDs and a couple of very poor games plus a mid-season injury. TD regression should happen though that's never been his strength and for that reason, he's a great PPR option and a solid option in other modes given his late fourth-round cost.
Seth Miller
Crossroads Fantasy Football
IF Coach Gruden gets Jacobs more involved in the pass game, Jacobs will be a threat for top 5. Ricard and Washington combined for 84 targets, while each playing less than 30% of the snaps. Ricard has been resigned. Washington and his 41 targets are an UFA.Has quietly led the team in targets back to back years. PPG Rank(minimum of 10 games) 2019 - 18th 2018 - 15th 2017 - 17th
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Jacobs had a very good rookie season with 1,316 yards from scrimmage and 7 touchdowns. Jacobs should be a low-end RB1 to high-end RB2 for the Raiders in 2020.Woods was solid with 1,249 yards from scrimmage, but he had only 3 touchdowns. He is a WR3 with his nice yardage totals, but he does not score enough touchdowns to be in the WR2 discussion.
