Pack to the Future
Robert Woods is the definition of consistency. Week in and week out you know what you're getting from Woods and fantasy football that's an incredibly valuable trait. He may not have WR1 upside, but you won't find a better WR2.In only 14 games last season, McLaurin racked up 919 receiving yards and seven TDs while playing with some truly terrible QB play. If Dwayne Haskins can progress in year two as the starter then we could see McLaurin as a top-24 WR. That being said, Haskins had some real struggles last year so that's something you have to consider. At a certain point, no matter how good a WR is, he needs a talented QB to get him the football.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Woods is the most underappreciated WR year in and year out. He is the Rams WR1.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Despite scoring just two touchdowns last year, Woods was able to finish as the No. 17 wide receiver. Why do we continually doubt that his production will continue? Under Sean McVay, he's been a WR2 or better in 21-of-43 games, which is the same as Tyreek Hill. He may not have the upside that Hill does, but as a WR2 on your team, he's gold.McLaurin came out of nowhere as a waiver wire acquisition last year, finishing as the No. 27 wide receiver on a bad offense. It wasn't all pretty, as he had four games with less than 40 yards, but they were going through a lot of changes on the offense. They reportedly tried to acquire Amari Cooper, but after failing to land him, they fell back on Antonio Gandy-Golden in the fourth round of the draft. He's not going to threaten McLaurin's lead role on the team. It's safe to say we should expect 100-plus targets in year two, even if they aren't highly efficient coming from Dwayne Haskins.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
There is a pretty big disconnect between what the average fantasy football player thinks about Woods and what the expert consensus thinks about him, with the latter being significantly higher. Woods scored just three touchdowns last year but there is bound to be positive regression, and he's seen at least 130 targets in each of the last two years. With Brandin Cooks gone, and with how Woods came on toward the second half of the season, he's much closer to a WR1 than fantasy managers are giving him credit for.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Woods is the most underrated WR1 in the league this offseason. He's basically guaranteed to go at least 85/1100/5, has more upside than that with the departure of Cooks, never steps off the field no matter what personnel the Rams decide to use (the same can not be said for Kupp), and will likely score more TDs this season as Jared Goff had SEVEN different passing plays end up at the one-yard line last season. I will have Woods on all of my teams at his current ADP.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Over the back half of 2019, Woods was a WR1 and gave you some huge performances. This offense doesn't appear set to change from what was working for them at the end of last season, which indicates that Woods is in line for another huge season. Calvin Ridley may be the best overall value in redraft AP right now, but Woods is a close second.McLaurin was a revelation last season for people who drafted him in the last round or scooped him up off of waiver wires in week one. While he does have more competition for targets in 2020, he's the main option in this passing attack and is a guarantee to see over 120 targets. He's a value right now at his current ADP and would be a fantastic addition to your fantasy roster as a WR2/WR3.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
I've been on the Robert Woods hype train all off-season and it seems to finally be gaining momentum. He finished WR17 despite only scoring 2 TDs and a couple of very poor games plus a mid-season injury. TD regression should happen though that's never been his strength and for that reason, he's a great PPR option and a solid option in other modes given his late fourth-round cost.Scary Terry McLaurin had an incredible debut season with 919 yards and 7 TDs in an awful offence with sub-standard QB play. While Dwayne Haskins is back, you'd have to expect some improvement in his passing while the improved supporting cast should also help McLaurin. Hence weekly floor remains very low, as evidenced by his mid-season run of seven games under 10 fantasy points, but he has week winning upside and is a great Best Ball option. He's a risk/reward WR3 with strong weekly and seasonal upside if the Redskins can finally get their act together in the passing game.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
Robert Woods finished as the WR14 in PPR leagues last year with 140 targets /90 rec /1134 yards/2 TDs. With no Cooks and positive TD regression, Woods may be in for his first top-10 season of his career. He had just 2 TDs on 90 receptions which made him WR14 in 2019. Woods has also avg'd 18 carries / 136 yards / 1 TD the past two years. @amazehayes_ Woods has caught at least 85 balls, gone over 1,100 yards, and has seen 130+ targets in back-to-back seasons. @grahamBarfieldTerry McLaurin's 13.7 PPR FPG last year tied for 10th-most all-time with JuJu Smith-Schuster for any rookie WR drafted in the second round or later of the NFL draft. @GrahamBarfield
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Became 1 of just 5 WRs in NFL history to catch 90 passes with 2 TD catches or less in 2019 - heavy target share, plus TD regression offers backend WR1 upsideAdvanced metrics darling and near-backend WR2 producer as rookie was PFF's 6th-highest grade WR in 2019 despite ugly QB combo of Keenum, McCoy, Haskins
Seth Miller
Crossroads Fantasy Football
Has quietly led the team in targets back to back years. PPG Rank(minimum of 10 games) 2019 - 18th 2018 - 15th 2017 - 17thIf you had to guess, who would you say was second on the team in targets? Chris Thompson with 58. He will not be without competition in 2020 but I don't think that has to be a bad thing. Terry saw 6.6 targets with Haskins for 34/500/2 in 8 games. A lot of change in 2020. Scott Turner is the new OC, was co-oc in Carolina where Carolina ranked second in attempts last year. Do bad teams tend to pass more? Probably, the Dolphins and Bengals were 6th and 7th. Will the Redskins be bad? I dunno. Lots of questions.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Woods was solid with 1,249 yards from scrimmage, but he had only 3 touchdowns. He is a WR3 with his nice yardage totals, but he does not score enough touchdowns to be in the WR2 discussion.McLaurin was the lone bright spot in the Washington offense with 58 receptions for 919 yards and 7 receiving touchdowns. He should take a jump in his second year, especially if second-year QB Dwayne Haskins can also take a jump in his second year.
