FantasyPros
Despite scoring just two touchdowns last year, Woods was able to finish as the No. 17 wide receiver. Why do we continually doubt that his production will continue? Under Sean McVay, he's been a WR2 or better in 21-of-43 games, which is the same as Tyreek Hill. He may not have the upside that Hill does, but as a WR2 on your team, he's gold. He's entering the final year of his contract with the Colts and is likely to lead them in targets. Some may be concerned about last year, but Jacoby Brissett wasn't the guy to get him the ball. Philip Rivers, on the other hand, he can sling it. Going back to Hilton with Andrew Luck in the Frank Reich offense, he finished with WR2-type numbers in 64.3 percent of his games. The addition of Michael Pittman and Jonathan Taylor may bring down his touchdown upside, but he should remain a consistent WR3, at worst.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
There is a pretty big disconnect between what the average fantasy football player thinks about Woods and what the expert consensus thinks about him, with the latter being significantly higher. Woods scored just three touchdowns last year but there is bound to be positive regression, and he's seen at least 130 targets in each of the last two years. With Brandin Cooks gone, and with how Woods came on toward the second half of the season, he's much closer to a WR1 than fantasy managers are giving him credit for.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Woods is the most underrated WR1 in the league this offseason. He's basically guaranteed to go at least 85/1100/5, has more upside than that with the departure of Cooks, never steps off the field no matter what personnel the Rams decide to use (the same can not be said for Kupp), and will likely score more TDs this season as Jared Goff had SEVEN different passing plays end up at the one-yard line last season. I will have Woods on all of my teams at his current ADP.Hilton was 34th in PPG last season and his TTV (Brotofantasy.com) was 36th, so he did what was expected and slightly more. Rivers is a QB upgrade, Hilton should probably see a few more targets, and he's received praise from the coaching staff. Hilton isn't washed yet.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Woods is the most underappreciated WR year in and year out. He is the Rams WR1
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Over the back half of 2019, Woods was a WR1 and gave you some huge performances. This offense doesn't appear set to change from what was working for them at the end of last season, which indicates that Woods is in line for another huge season. Calvin Ridley may be the best overall value in redraft AP right now, but Woods is a close second.Hilton's an incredibly risky pick at his ADP right now. He needs to stay healthy this season to return that value and he now has Michael Pittman to take away targets. Rivers could lock onto Pittman, which is the type of receiver he's been known to target heavily in the past, which would leave a smaller target percentage for Hilton. He has the talent, but a lot has to go Hilton's way this season for him to be a true force for fantasy football. In my opinion, Hilton's nothing more than a low-end WR3.
Bart Wheeler
Hail to Fantasy Football
Up slightly. Might need to move him ahead of Kupp if the Rams look like they'll end up running 12 personnel regularly.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
I've been on the Robert Woods hype train all off-season and it seems to finally be gaining momentum. He finished WR17 despite only scoring 2 TDs and a couple of very poor games plus a mid-season injury. TD regression should happen though that's never been his strength and for that reason, he's a great PPR option and a solid option in other modes given his late fourth-round cost. After a super 2018 season where he returned to top form, T.Y. Hilton had an awful 2019. The retirement of Andrew Luck was followed by a number of frustrating injuries which made consistent production impossible. Now 30 and carrying a number of soft-tissue injuries into the season, it's hard to see Hilton remaining fit and explosive again. He's also joined by impressive youngsters Parris Campbell and Michael Pittman while the team is clearly becoming more run-heavy. The good news is that Philip Rivers is a big QB upgrade and Hilton has a huge ceiling, especially in non-PPR. He's a boom/bust 5th-round pick who could be worth a pick-up if you have the top-end strength to cover for his many bad weeks and injuries.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
Robert Woods finished as the WR14 in PPR leagues last year with 140 targets /90 rec /1134 yards/2 TDs. With no Cooks and positive TD regression, Woods may be in for his first top-10 season of his career. He had just 2 TDs on 90 receptions which made him WR14 in 2019. Woods has also avg'd 18 carries / 136 yards / 1 TD the past two years. @amazehayes_ Woods has caught at least 85 balls, gone over 1,100 yards, and has seen 130+ targets in back-to-back seasons. @grahamBarfield
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Became 1 of just 5 WRs in NFL history to catch 90 passes with 2 TD catches or less in 2019 - heavy target share, plus TD regression offers backend WR1 upside
Seth Miller
Crossroads Fantasy Football
Has quietly led the team in targets back to back years. PPG Rank(minimum of 10 games) 2019 - 18th 2018 - 15th 2017 - 17thA WR room with everything you could want. Hilton going deep, Campbell the YAC machine, and the big, reliable Pittman. While Hilton should lead the trio, he was also be battling his own ability to stay on the field. Maybe it's assuming too much, but IND just came off a season with the 3rd fewest passing yards in the league, with 3108. Phil has thrown fewer than 4000 only 3 times in his 14 years as a starter, he was over 4000 3 times with fewer attempts than what IND attempted last year because IND efficiency as so bad. We don't have to see the team transform into a passing team to see better production from all the WRs. I'm grabbing Campbell late everywhere I can.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Woods was solid with 1,249 yards from scrimmage, but he had only 3 touchdowns. He is a WR3 with his nice yardage totals, but he does not score enough touchdowns to be in the WR2 discussion.Hilton's age 30 season was not kind to him, he missed QB Andrew Lucks' arm and he had only 501 yards from scrimmage and 5 touchdowns in 10 games in 2019. If he can stay healthy, he has some upside playing with QB Philip Rivers, but he is a boom / bust WR3 given his health concerns.
