FantasyPros
Over half of Baltimore's targets are up for grabs with Mike Wallace, Benjamin Watson, Jeremy Maclin, Michael Campanaro, and Danny Woodhead out the door. Chris Moore leads the remaining wideouts in receptions (18) and targets (38), so Crabtree should stay busy. He has submitted the fifth-most receiving TDs (25) over the last three years and still salvaged a WR28 showing despite missing three games in a lackluster 2017. Drafters need only play for that production level, which makes him a solid, low-floor option. How much longer will the fantasy community hold out hope on Watkins? One more year. He has caught 67 of 122 targets over the last two seasons combined and followed last year's only 100-yard showing by dispersing 28 yards through three contests. Yet six scores vaulted him to WR23 after a Week 8 bye, and Patrick Mahomes is a better partner for downfield damage than Jared Goff. He's an interesting high-upside gamble (especially in Best Ball drafts) near the seventh or eighth round.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Crabtree how now been a top 30 fantasy receiver for three consecutive years, and although he is switching teams, his target share may actually go up since there is less competition and more passing in his new offense. He may not be a sexy pick, but Crabtree could prove startable most weeks.Don't give up on Watkins, who was a train wreck last season. He didn't know the playbook because of when he was traded and the Rams weren't creative with their use of him. Kansas City has big plans for Sammy apparently, and if he can stay healthy, Watkins has all the talent in the world for a huge breakout.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Crabs and PIT's A. Brown are the only players with 8+ TD catches in each of past three seasons - now in BAL, looks like the obvious go-to red zone aerial option
Jody Smith
FantasyPros
Should see a healthy number of red zone targets with Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce occupying defenders.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
After seeing 291 targets over a two year period with the Raiders, Crabtree saw that number drop to just 101 targets in 2017. Fortunately for him, he was released and wound up as the No. 1 receiver on another team that should get him somewhere in the range of 110-120 targets. Some will say more than that, but Joe Flacco doesn't heavily target any one receiver. During his 10 years in the league, he's yet to target one more than 137 times, and that includes two seasons with 610-plus attempts. With all the additions to the Ravens pass-catching corps, you have to wonder what Crabtree's ceiling is at this point. He's a low-upside WR3. It wouldn't shock me to see Watkins finish as the best Chiefs wide receiver, as I believe he's the most talented one. The issue is that he's learning his third offense in three years, which can cripple a wide receiver in year-one. Because of that, Tyreek Hill is the preferred option in 2018. Still, the Chiefs didn't pay Watkins $50 million to see 60-80 targets, so I'd expect him to be a WR3 more often than not. With Pat Mahomes under center and a bad defense, the recipe is there for increased pass attempts. Knowing each of their costs, Watkins is the better fantasy pick.
Staff Rankings
QB List
Last season for the Raiders, this "sorry receiver" had some pretty mediocre production with 58 receptions, and a mere 618 yard receiving. However, the touchdown gods LOVED this guy, as he received the 2nd highest red zone AND end zone target share of any receiver last season, allowing him to produce 8 tudddy's. Usually in fantasyland we would do the following math: low yards/receptions + bloated TD's = BUST, but luckily for Crabtree, this offseason he left Sin City and moved to the less sinful, yet similarly dim city of Baltimore! As the primary receiver in Baltimore this season (only two speedsters to challenge him for targets in John Brown and Willie Snead), Crabtree should see as many targets as one can in their run-centric offense, while seeing his bloated TD total fall as Flacco relies primarily on his RB's and TE's in the red zone. For these reasons, Crabtree should be a solid WR3, but nothing more and nothing less.Another wonderfully redundant signing, Watkins enters a Chiefs offense flush with key contributors and a player who already has the downfield role locked up in Tyreek Hill. With this in mind I have to assume Watkins will be utilized similar to how he was used in Los Angeles: the sporadic deep route and as a physical force at the goal line. Even then, however, Watkins upside will be severely diminished, and that's without even taking into account the progression of young QB Patrick Mahomes. I'm inclined to stay away in favor of other Tier 5 options, but Watkins is still the #2 receiver in a gunslinging KC offense.
Chet Gresham
WalterFootball
Crabtree in Baltimore could be a nice fit, as he will likely be the no-doubt No. 1 receiver and see a high percentage of targets and should remain the best red-zone receiver on his team.Watkins lands in Kansas City and will be a boom-or-bust fantasy prospect once again. I do like that he gets a strong-armed Patrick Mahomes throwing to him, as the deep ball is where he has done much of his damage in the NFL. I will likely draft Watkins this year for his upside but be prepared for another disappointment.
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Crabtree has declining skills but he can move the chains and get TDs. I just don't know if Baltimore is the right environment to roll the dice with himWho knows how Watkins will fit in a new system with basically a rookie QB playing but I have to trust the talent here
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
Over the last three years, Michael Crabtree has the fifth most touchdown receptions with 25. We find out this year if that is TD dependency or part of his true skill-set. If he scores 7TD's with Flacco at QB Crabtree can be a solid WR2.Coach Andy Reid said he's been moving Sammy Watkins "all over the place" on offense. "We were moving him everywhere," Reid said. "He hasn't had to do that in his career." In past stops with the Bills and Rams, Watkins has been a traditional X receiver on the back side of defenses, routinely facing the other team's best corner or seeing double coverage. Chiefs.com's B.J. Kissel writes the connection between Patrick Mahomes and Sammy Watkins is "real." Kissel writes Mahomes and Watkins have consistently been connecting throughout the offseason program, and fellow receiver Chris Conley said Watkins has picked up the offense "as fast as anyone I've seen." I generally stay away from this type of off season hype, but Sammy has been hindered by nagging injuries when in Buffalo and zero pre-season prep with his new QB in LA going into last year. Sammy has the athleticism and skill to be a WR1, I'm hoping he is fed the targets he will need to get there.

Derek Lofland

Crabtree had only 58 receptions for 618 yards, but 8 touchdowns made him a viable WR3. He becomes the top receiving threat in Baltimore and his red zone value should keep him in the WR3 range.
