Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
It's been quite the career arc for Diggs who has gone from the WR46 his rookie year, to the WR30, WR19, and then WR10 in 2018 while collecting a career-high 150 targets. That's important, as it shows his new quarterback Kirk Cousins trusts him. With Adam Thielen around, it'll be tough for him to break into the top-five, but Diggs should be considered a relatively safe low-end WR1 in fantasy circles who would have top-five upside should something happen to ThielenIt's clear that the Lions view Golladay as their long-term WR1, though you have to wonder just how high his ceiling will be. Despite Golden Tate leaving and Marvin Jones missing time at the end of the season, Golladay finished as the No. 21 receiver in fantasy. When drafting him as your WR2, understand that he may not have the upside or consistency of guys like Stefon Diggs and Brandin Cooks
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
A lot of Antonio Brown to his game - lightning quick, can work the whole field, great route runner and explosive after the catch - health and random wallflower games have been his only bugaboosEntering his 3rd year, which used to be the magical breakout season for WRs, but with a 70/1063/5 line in '18, he kind of already broke out - with his talent and another year of experience, fair to expect even more in '19
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Diggs had an incredible year overall, seeing 149 targets and setting career highs across the board with 102 catches for 1,021 yards and nine touchdowns. But his production waned late in the year as the Vikings offense focused on the run. With Gary Kubiak brought in as an offensive adviser, the hope is that the offense opens back up. But either way, Diggs should be no worse than a solid WR2 in all formats with WR1 upside.Golladay broke out last year, totaling over 1,000 yards and five touchdowns. But the vast majority of his production came after Golden Tate was traded and Marvin Jones went down with a season-ending injury. Given that Matt Patricia wants to run the ball as much as possible, it's unclear how much Golladay can produce with Jones in the lineup. But, the Lions should be behind in the majority of their games, so despite Patricia's desire, they'll likely need to throw the ball more. Golladay has talent but it's difficult to see him being much more than a mid-tier WR2 this season. That's certainly valuable, but not a superstar.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Diggs increased his yardage output from 849 to 1021 yards over the last two years which is awesome to see. He was also eighth in the league in red zone receptions. With that being said, he remains a volatile week to week player, and his opportunities may not be as plentiful with the Vikings looking to establish the run, highlighted by the addition of Gary Kubiak.I liked Golladay A LOT last season but his price has gone up too much for me to like him this season. He went 70/1063/5, but that was without Marvin Jones for a significant amount of time, TJ Hockenson, and Darren Bevell, who will likely turn the Lions into a run first team for the first time in ages.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
After Tate was shipped out last season, Babytron's 16-game pace was 80/1172/4.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Diggs still hasn't become that top-end receiver we once assumed he would become but he has steadily improved each season. If Kirk Cousins' TD-rate improves to even league-average, Diggs may make that jump into the top 10 fantasy wideouts this time around.Golladay did have a mini breakout last season but it came while Marvin Jones was shelved and Golden Tate was playing in Philly. Now that he isn't the only competent receiver on the depth chart, his volume share should plummet. He is still a WR2, but be careful with the extent of your expectations.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Diggs had 102 receptions for 1,021 yards and 9 touchdowns last year. He is a solid WR2 that has a ton of upside in this offense as their most talented red zone wide receiver.Golladay was one of the pleasant surprises in Detroit last year and he should have WR2 value playing with QB Matthew Stafford.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
I love targeting Diggs in the late 3rd/early 4th round. He's a bit too risky to rely on as your top guy each week, but at his ADP, he won't need to. You can make him your WR1 to go with 3 stud RB's, or maybe an upside WR2 to go with 2 elite running backs. However you choose to start your draft, Diggs is an upside pick. Diggs posted over 100 receptions in his first season with Cousins, commanding a nearly 30% share of the teams air yards. He's an elite WR in the prime of his career, on an offense that has a consolidated target market share. If he can get past the lower body injuries, then he's got all the upside in the world.Golladay is a popular breakout pick this season, but I've yet to take him in a mock draft. It's not that he's a bad pick, or that he needs to be avoided at all, but there just always seems to be someone else I'd rather have. Golladay posted a 70/1063/5 stat line in his sophomore season in 2018, and there is absolutely room for him to expand on that number this season. The Lions only good WR's are him, Jones and Amendola...so he's going to see a significant share of the targets. The problem is that 1) the Lions are going to run the ball a lot this season...and 2) Jones was used more as the downfield threat and red zone option before his injury last season. Golladay absolutely proved that he's capable of an expanded role, so that could change in his third year, but it's still tough to pull the trigger on him as often times my #1 WR (after going RB heavy in the first three rounds). By no means should you avoid Golladay, but for sure don't reach on him, because there are a lot of great options still on the board in his range.
