Lineups
Washington's idea of a passing offense was hard to watch last season and the scheme has to get better this year mostly because it can't get any worse. Scott Turner should help Haskins unlock some more of his play and McLaurin will benefit as his primary receiving weapon. In his rookie year, McLaurin had 58 catches for 919 yards and 7 touchdowns. He was a consistent downfield threat and finished with an impressive 15.8 yards per reception. Both second-year players, Haskins and McLaurin should continue to improve as they grow more accustomed to pro play and their strong chemistry will help them both succeed.Tyler Lockett finished last season as the WR14 in 1/2 PPR leagues. He had the 2nd-best catch rate of any wide receiver at 74.5%. He's the top target for one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL in Russell Wilson. He's lethal in the red zone and has 18 touchdowns over the last two seasons. This isn't how you describe a
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
Despite having missed Week 4, McLaurin would've had a good chance to surpass 1,000 receiving yards as a rookie had a concussion not sidelined him for the season finale. He could benefit from new offensive coordinator Scott Turner's game plans involving more play-action passing than Washington ran under coordinator Kevin O'Connell in 2019.Lockett became QB Russell Wilson's go-to guy in 2018, leading the Seahawks with career-high totals in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns. He became an even bigger contributor to Seattle's passing game in '19 and was on pace to end the season with 99 catches, 1,269 yards and 10 scores before leaving Seattle's Week 10 game with a shin injury that required hospitalization.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Scary Terry McLaurin had an incredible debut season with 919 yards and 7 TDs in an awful offense with sub-standard QB play. While Dwayne Haskins is back, you'd have to expect some improvement in his passing while the improved supporting cast should also help F1. Hence weekly floor remains very low, as evidenced by his mid-season run of seven games under 10 fantasy points, but he has week winning upside and is a great Best Ball option. He's a risk/reward WR3 with strong weekly and seasonal upside if the Redskins can finally get their act together in the passing game.Tyler Lockett put together another impressive season, breaking 1000 yards for the first time on the back of five 100+ yard performances and 8 TDs. His many bust weeks are a concern but the worries don't end there. D.K. Metcalf is a possibility to really impact his target share, as are quality tight ends Greg Olsen and Jacob Hollister. It's also worth monitoring the Josh Gordon and Antonio Brown rumours which won't go away. Ultimately he's a boom/bust mid-round pick with strong upside who has major floor issues but excellent weekly upside. Don't get sucked in too early.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
It was remarkable what McLaurin was able to do last year while playing on one of the worst teams in football. The disappointing part was that even though he saw 37.1 percent of his team's air yards (sixth in the NFL), he finished with just 93 targets. Knowing it's unlikely we see a big increase in pass attempts, it's hard for him to see an air yards number that is much higher. The reason we can be semi-optimistic with his targets is due to the lack of options around him. Kelvin Harmon and Paul Richardson are gone, along with the 86 targets they saw last year. In comes rookie Antonio Gandy-Golden, and veteran Dontrelle Inman, who was recently signed off the street. If we look at offensive coordinator Scott Turner's offense last year, you'll see it was very top-heavy when it came to the wide receivers, as D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel both hit 106-plus targets. I can't say there's anyone else on this Washington receiver depth chart that deserves more than 75 targets. This could be very similar to A.J. Brown, where we're looking at a player who might get a 25 percent target share in his offense, even if it is a low volume one. The difference is that McLaurin's quarterback hasn't ever posted all-time great numbers, and it's unreasonable to expect that. Still, McLaurin can likely live up to low-end WR2 expectations, though getting him as your WR3 is the ideal scenario. It was a tale of two different seasons for Lockett, as he started out the year hot, but then had an injury derail his production. Clearly, he was affected by a serious shin contusion that had him in the hospital. I won't pretend that D.K. Metcalf started removing some of his elite target upside, but even Lockett's efficiency went down the tube. Combining Lockett's games under Brian Schottenheimer prior to the shin injury, he's totaled 116 receptions for 1,732 yards and 16 touchdowns over a span of 25 games. That's pretty dang good. Knowing that I'm projecting a rise in pass attempts for the Seahawks overall, Lockett should see 110-plus targets as long as he's healthy, a number that goes very far with Russell Wilson as his quarterback. Seriously, stop talking about regression when it comes to Wilson's receivers. First it was Doug Baldwin. Regression never really happened. Then there was Lockett. Next, it'll be Metcalf. Lockett is perfectly fine as your WR2. He's the safer of the Seahawks receivers because his role is locked in. If the Seahawks were to sign or bring in someone like Josh Gordon/Antonio Brown, that would affect Metcalf a lot more.
Frank Bonincontri
Fantasy Wire HQ
TMC breaks 1,000 yards and becomes Washington's top guy this season. Love his potentialOpposite D.K. Metcalf, I love the perimeter in Seattle. 8 touchdowns last season could certainly be 10 this season
Rob Wilson
The Fantasy Footballers
Potential to explode this season but QB play could send him into a sophomore slump. He's the only horse in town so McLaurin drafters should hope Steven Sims steps up.A bounceback looks inevitable. Russell Wilson is elite, and Locket is his favorite target.
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
In only 14 games last season, McLaurin racked up 919 receiving yards and seven TDs while playing with some truly terrible QB play. If Dwayne Haskins can progress in year two as the starter then we could see McLaurin as a top-24 WR. That being said, Haskins had some real struggles last year so that's something you have to consider. At a certain point, no matter how good a WR is, he needs a talented QB to get him the football.Lockett continues to silence the doubters year after year in Seattle and I don't see that changing in 2020. His connection with Russell Wilson is otherworldly and that's a big advantage over a lot of guys who haven't been able to work with their QB's due to COVID. I like Lockett as a solid WR2 but unlikely to get the volume to propel him into WR1 status.

Terry McLaurin's 13.7 PPR FPG last year tied for 10th-most all-time with JuJu Smith-Schuster for any rookie WR drafted in the second round or later of the NFL draft. @GrahamBarfieldWeeks 1-9 last season, he was the WR3 overall. He suffered a scary leg injury in Week 10 and was never the same afterward. He still finished as the WR13 for the season. @SWallace_FF In 2019, Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett ranked: 4th in yards gained on slot routes (770), 1st in touchdowns on slot routes (6), 11th in yards gained on 20+ yards downfield targets (379), 9th in receiving TDs (8) @EvanSilva - Tyler Lockett does not get a lot of targets, but the ones he does get are high leverage for fantasy. @LordReebs

McLaurin was a revelation last season for people who drafted him in the last round or scooped him up off of waiver wires in week one. While he does have more competition for targets in 2020, he's the main option in this passing attack and is a guarantee to see over 120 targets. He's a value right now at his current ADP and would be a fantastic addition to your fantasy roster as a WR2/WR3.Lockett's most likely going to play second-fiddle to Metcalf this season, but there are still going to be plenty of targets to go his way. Lockett's going to hover around WR2 territory all season long, but has the talent and rapport with Russell Wilson to finish even higher than that.

Advanced metrics darling and near-backend WR2 producer as rookie was PFF's 6th-highest grade WR in 2019 despite ugly QB combo of Keenum, McCoy, Haskins

If you had to guess, who would you say was second on the team in targets? Chris Thompson with 58. He will not be without competition in 2020 but I don't think that has to be a bad thing. Terry saw 6.6 targets with Haskins for 34/500/2 in 8 games. A lot of change in 2020. Scott Turner is the new OC, was co-oc in Carolina where Carolina ranked second in attempts last year. Do bad teams tend to pass more? Probably, the Dolphins and Bengals were 6th and 7th. Will the Redskins be bad? I dunno. Lots of questions.18 TDs in the last 2 years on 180 targets(about a 19% target share). I'm not complaining about the TDs and he had a career high 110 targets in 2019 but TDs are not sticky and I think he might just play the highly efficient second fiddle to D.K.

McLaurin was the lone bright spot in the Washington offense with 58 receptions for 919 yards and 7 receiving touchdowns. He should take a jump in his second year, especially if second-year QB Dwayne Haskins can also take a jump in his second year.Lockett did have a solid season with 1052 yards from scrimmage and 8 touchdowns, but he seemed to take a backseat to Metcalf at times in the second half of the 2018 season. I think Lockett will be more of a WR3 than a WR2 in 2020 and he could likely be the second option in the passing game.
