If you are in a PPR league, he's a must have.

FantasyPros
One of my favorite late-round picks for a few reasons. Not only will Johnson have borderline flex-value while playing second-fiddle to Isaiah Crowell, but he'd be an RB1 if Crowell were to miss time. Johnson's talent is the reason he was drafted in the seventh-round last year, not because of his situation. The Browns have also indicated that he'll be used out of the slot this year, which provides a boost to his standalone value as well. After averaging 5.6 yards per carry in his rookie season, Rawls just didn't look the same returning from his ankle surgery, averaging just 3.2 yards per carry. He's someone who continually works his way up my draft board, as he is reportedly looking more and more like his 2015-self. If that's the case, he could be one of the steals at the end of drafts.

Duke Johnson was terribly inconsistent in 2016. The Browns' offense will be better this season, so a bounce back could be on deck. Rawls was a disappointment last season due to injuries and poor play. The addition of Lacy in Seattle makes it difficult for Rawls to have any real Fantasy value. Auction Value $4
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Last season, Johnson and Crowell were neck and neck heading into the season, but Crowell got the carries and ran away with the duty. Should he falter this year or deal with an injury, Johnson would be the beneficiary of the stacked offensive line and a workhorses load of the carries. That is a low-end RB1 waiting to happen and the worst case scenario is that he is a flex worthy play with all of the work he'll see on third down. The Seahawks added Lacy and they do have Prosise sniffing around for touches too, but they appear committed to still get the ball in Rawls' hands too. With that being said, his ceiling is limited and he shouldn't be start-worthy many weeks because of the abysmal Seahawks' offensive line.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
Hue Jackson expects the Miami Hurricane career rushing record holder, Duke Johnson to play a big role in 2017. Reports are that Johnson is attending several different position meetings in order to stay on the field no matter the formation or situation. Johnson is in his third year in the NFL and is still looking to break-out. Johnson's metrics are most comparable to Gio Bernard whom Hue Jackson coached and for three years in Cincinnati. If Johnson is able to expand his role this year we could see league winning potential from him. He's currently being drafted in the tenth round, but his ADP is on the rise, coming up a full round in the past month.Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls ankle injury will hold him out of week 2 preseason action on Friday. It's being called a minor injury and Eddie Lacy is now expected to be the starting tailback for the second preseason game. When it was first announced that Rawls would get the start I thought nothing of it, teams usually rest their banged-up players week 2 anyway. Week 3 is what we really care about, but if they're resting Rawls this week that becomes somewhat questionable. We should probably consider this a full blown committee at this point, in which case you can read our "Difference Makers" article to see who I think is worthy of drafting in this backfield. https://twitter.com/pyro_hartbeat/status/898253303213039616

I'm a big Hue Jackson fan and think he can get this running game going even with scrubs/rookies at quarterback, so I like Johnson, but will only be targeting him in PPR leagues. With Eddie Lacy in the fold, Rawls' value takes a big hit. I like Lacy more than Rawls and will draft accordingly.

Was running with the ones over Lacy during the preseason opener.

Johnson is one of my favorite last-round stashes. He costs almost nothing, and could easily become a top flex play with some positive TD regression.Rawls burst onto the scene in a big way at the end of 2015. However, like Icarus, he flew too close to the sun and plummeted to earth. Rawls' late 2015 injury affected him throughout 2016, and now here we are, ranking him at nimber 58 out of 60. There is real upside here, but it would have to come in the form of straight up outplaying Eddie Lacy, an Eddie Lacy Injury, or barring either of those, Eddie Lacy getting indigestion or an asthma attack or something..
