Perkins could be the Giants' No. 1 running back this year. We'll see how it goes, but he has the inside track at the moment, and if they use him well, his PPR upside could be great. With Eddie Lacy in the fold, Rawls' value takes a big hit. I like Lacy more than Rawls and will draft accordingly.

5th Down Fantasy
Clear no. 1 option for GMen; zero rushing TDs in 2016 with Jennings on team; great upside potential if used more in passing game and goal line. Was running with the ones over Lacy during the preseason opener.

QB List
Perkins is not a special talent, but the Giants' overloaded WR corps means that he should rarely see stacked boxes. Still his TD upside is low.Rawls burst onto the scene in a big way at the end of 2015. However, like Icarus, he flew too close to the sun and plummeted to earth. Rawls' late 2015 injury affected him throughout 2016, and now here we are, ranking him at nimber 58 out of 60. There is real upside here, but it would have to come in the form of straight up outplaying Eddie Lacy, an Eddie Lacy Injury, or barring either of those, Eddie Lacy getting indigestion or an asthma attack or something..

The talent and role are there but it's tough to trust an unproven back
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
While Wayne Gallman may be Perkins' only competition, there is no guarantee he will hang onto this job. He was among the least talented and productive starting running backs last season so you ought to consider him one rough stretch from losing all the expected touches that have been driving up his ADP.The Seahawks added Lacy and they do have Prosise sniffing around for touches too, but the Seahawks appear committed to still get the ball in Rawls' hands too. With that being said, his ceiling is limited and he shouldn't be start-worthy many weeks because of the abysmal Seahawks' offensive line.

Perkins came on toward the end of his rookie season, but don't expect much more than occasional flex value in 2017. Auction Value $7 Rawls was a disappointment last season due to injuries and poor play. The addition of Lacy in Seattle makes it difficult for Rawls to have any real Fantasy value. Auction Value $4
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
After the Giants passed on all free agent running backs, it appears to be the Perkins show in New York. He was better than perceived at the end of 2016, and will now be on the field with Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shepard, and Evan Engram. He's going to see some light defensive fronts in a high-scoring offense. After averaging 5.6 yards per carry in his rookie season, Rawls just didn't look the same returning from his ankle surgery, averaging just 3.2 yards per carry. He's someone who continually works his way up my draft board, as he is reportedly looking more and more like his 2015-self. If that's the case, he could be one of the steals at the end of drafts.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
Looks like he'll only be sharing the backfield with Vereen, but I'm sure the Giants will be drafting or buying someone they don't need.Without an O-line Rawls is a bust candidate and now they have Lacy signed so neither of them should have much value.
