No. 1 RB in '18 falls down the '19 draft list because of an arthritic knee that is expected to bring about a reduced-workload maintenance plan by the Rams - definition of a high risk/reward pick
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
I never want to hear that my RB1 is managing his arthritic component in his knee and his usage in the postseason last year screamed that knee had some issues. He is still a RB1 in a great scheme, but I think the days of him being the best fantasy running back in the NFL are over, as the Rams will need to manage his touches for him to stay healthy.Hilton had only 76 receptions, but those went for 1,270 yards and 6 touchdowns. QB Andrew Luck's arm strength improved over the season and Hilton's numbers should be better, provided QB Andrew Luck does not miss too much time with a calf injury.
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
The knee issue is concerning, but Gurley could still have a big role in a great system. If he falls into the second round I won't be ignoring him
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
TY Hilton went 76/120 receptions/targets with 1270/6 in 14 games last season. This season he'll be Juju lite version, 90 receptions, which he's done before in 2016, 1500 yards, reached 1448 in 2016, and a career high 8 TDs. Why? The Colts are bringing back their entire offensive line for a second year which never happens in today's NFL and Andrew Luck is fully healthy. He is going to have time to throw, and that time is going to lead too even more TY Hilton bombs. He averages 16 Y/R in his career.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
There are some real questions surrounding Gurley as we enter the 2019 season. Not only did C.J. Anderson play over him during the playoffs, but the Rams also traded up to the start of the third-round to select Darrell Henderson, an explosive running back out of Memphis. The Rams also matched an offer sheet the Lions submitted to backup running back Malcolm Brown, meaning the Rams are more worried about Gurley than they're letting on. We all know Gurley comes with plenty of upside, but we also know you can't win your fantasy league in the first-round, but you can definitely help lose it.It went from Hilton as the only show in town, to what looks like a full house. He'll now compete with Devin Funchess, Parris Campbell, Eric Ebron, Jack Doyle, and Nyheim Hines for targets, though the connection between him and Luck cannot be duplicated. Hilton had always been known as a boom or bust type receiver, but Frank Reich's arrival boosted his consistency, as he posted WR2 or better numbers in a career-high 64.3 percent of his games
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Gurley most certainly slowed down at the end of the year and comes with risk because of the unknown surrounding his knee. With that said, he was so exceptional each of the last two years that even with a 25% drop in production, he would still be an easy top 10 back. He still has more upside than any back including this year's big four so don't hesitate to snag him in the back end of the first round if you are feeling lucky.Through his seven year career, Hilton has finished inside the top 20 wideouts just 4 times and only once higher than #10. His upside is likely outside that top 10 being that he is 30 years old and sharing an offense with so many weapons. Fantasy owners can expect another strong WR2 season, however.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
Unfortunately, I will not have any shares of Todd Gurley this season. It's not that he can't have a good year, it's just that it's not worth the risk. With Darrell Henderson drafted to fill the Alvin Kamara role, his upside is capped. We know he's never again going to see the same sort of volume he has over the past few seasons, so even being in this prolific offense might not be able to save him. There is absolutely a chance that Gurley pays off his ADP and carries your team to the championship. However, it's unlikely, and just not worth the gamble. Unless he falls to the third round I can't justify drafting him.As a result of a hamstring pull in week 4, Hilton missed week's 5-6, played on a limited snap count in week 7, then acted mostly as a decoy in week 8 before a week 9 bye. However, from week 10 on he posted a jaw dropping 917 receiving yards. If we take his average stat line from weeks 10-17, and extrapolate over a full season, it comes out to 100/1,834/4. Juju had the second most receiving yards over that stretch...with 163 less yards. Nick Sirianni and Frank Reich have done an amazing job with this offense, and the return of Doyle, plus the addition of Campbell should mean that no team can possibly double Hilton. He's going to have some mediocre weeks, but he's also going to win you a few on his own. I'm comfortable taking him at his current ADP.
