He will probably lose end-zone targets with Sammy Watkins in the mix, but he will remain a focal point of this offense.42 Jones fractures were identified during the 2010-2015 NFL seasons. 15 players returned to the field in 10 weeks or less after surgery, with 9 requiring a second Jones fracture surgery. 27 players returned to the field greater than 10 weeks after surgery, with 4 requiring a second Jones fracture surgery. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5542311/

The Athletic
He and D. Walker are only two TEs to have 800+ yards in each of past 4 seasons - fair to consider how things can change from QB A. Smith to young gun P. Mahomes, but it'd be crazy for KC to veer too far away from the ridiculous athleticism that Kelce brings to their TE position
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
While some will try to make the argument for Kelce over Rob Gronkowski, I won't be one of them, simply because the Chiefs now have an abundance of offensive weapons that are going to need touches. They signed Sammy Watkins for nearly $50 million, which tells you how much they wanted him, and Tyreek Hill has remained as efficient as ever, so it's hard to argue that you should take targets away from him. Ultimately, I still love Kelce as an asset, but he's lost some of the upside he presented in 2017, which still had him finish eight points behind Gronkowski... and he played one more game than Gronkowski did, too. The change in quarterback may not be a downgrade, but don't call it an upgrade. While I do believe that Olsen is on the down-slope of his career, he didn't actually fall off a cliff. Prior to getting hurt in 2017, he'd seen at least 104 targets in each season dating back to 2012. This is where I remind you that there were just six tight ends who topped 95 targets in 2017. You want to chase targets at the most volatile position in fantasy, so even though he may not have top-three upside anymore, he's still a top-eight tight end. One stat that doesn't show so well for Olsen and Christian McCaffrey is that no RB/TE duo produced more than 185 targets in 2017.

QB List
Kelce, unlike Gronk, has been a beacon of health over the last four seasons. However, Gronk has the reliability of a quarterback like Tom Brady, whereas Kelce will be relying on Patrick Mahomes and his one career start. Alex Smith, love him or hate him, was very very good last season. Mahomes is likely going to represent a step backward, which makes for caution around Kelce. Still, his body of work is elite enough that he's a top three tight end unless Johnny Manziel is his QB.Olsen is coming off a season where he only played in seven games thanks to injury. Additionally, he only caught 17-of-38 passes, a career-low 44.7% completion rate. Olsen is a great bounce-back candidate, as he has never been injured prior to last season. However, he's 33 years old and doesn't seem likely to return to his 80-reception, 1,000 yard ways. I'd still venture that aging Greg Olsen is still a top-five tight end, and his injury from last season shouldn't scare people off too much.
Chet Gresham
WalterFootball
Kelce led all tight ends in fantasy points last season but will have a new quarterback and offensive coordinator for 2018. I like Patrick Mahomes quite a bit and think he could help Kelce put up even better numbers, but he's also a wild card. I won't be drafting any tight end early this season, so ADP will help dictate where my priorities lie.Olsen could be a value play this season, as his injury pretty much took away his whole 2017 and he's likely to once again be a top-two target in a good offense. Age and injuries are a concern, but I don't think we'll see a big decline from him.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Not only has Kelce missed just one game in four seasons, but he also has more yards than Gronk in that time. The reason I do not have him over Ertz is that I am of the party who believes Pat Mahomes is a major step back from Alex Smith. Last season, Smith was among the most efficient passers in the league on both deep balls and short passes. Mahomes has played one game so I'm unwilling to buy into him on the same level as an MVP candidate like Smith, and that means I'll be cautious with his assets as well.Olsen is risky, there is no doubt about that, but let's not forget that Olsen had over 3,000 yards in the three seasons prior to his injury-riddled 2017 and that he dominated in the NFL playoffs. He had never missed a game until last season so it isn't as though you should suddenly excpect him to be injury prone.
Andrew Gould
FantasyPros
After ending 2016's star-making breakout second in receptions (85) and first in receiving yards (1,125) among TEs, Kelce finished last year first in catches (83) and second in yards (1,308). He took the position's top PPR ranking each time. He's a worthy third-round pick who should go shortly after, if not before Rob Gronkowski.Tallying 116 of his 191 yards in one game is troubling for Olsen, who ended three of those seven contests with one 10-yard catch. (He also recorded 107 yards and a TD in Carolina's playoff loss to New Orleans.) There's risk in drafting a 33-year-old back from foot surgery, but you wouldn't know it by looking at his No. 62 ADP.
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
While Kelce isn't #1, he still is an elite TE and can't be dropped out of the top 5. Due to his talent, role and upside, he remains my 1B to Gronk's 1A.Olsen may be looking at a career after football, but he's still playing in 2018. As long as he's in CAR he'll have a big role and carry top-5 upside at the TE position.

Some concern over his target number with Watkins in town and Nagy out of itOlsen should continue to thrive when healthy
Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
Kelce may take a step back this year if the Chiefs move on from QB Alex Smith, but he is still going to see a ton of targets and he is a great red zone threat. Olsen played only 7 games and he tallied only 17 receptions for 191 yards and 1 touchdown. He could rebound this year, but he is also 33-years old heading into this season. He is a risky TE1 for the first time since QB Cam Newton arrived in Carolina.
