FantasyPros
It went from Hilton as the only show in town, to what looks like a full house. He'll now compete with Devin Funchess, Parris Campbell, Eric Ebron, Jack Doyle, and Nyheim Hines for targets. Even bigger, he just lost his superstar quarterback, Andrew Luck. This is a significant downgrade to Hilton's projection, as we've seen him play with Jacoby Brissett before. He's nothing more than a WR3 in fantasy leagues.Despite dealing with a chest injury that hampered his rushing ability in the middle of the season then losing both Will Fuller and Keke Coutee for portions of the season, Watson finished as the QB4, ahead of Andrew Luck. Now bring back a healthy Fuller and Coutee alongside DeAndre Hopkins with a healthy Watson, and you might have yourself a contender for the QB1 in 2019
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
He was WR 25 in half-PPR in '17 with QB Brissett replacing an injured Luck for the season. I expect Brissett and Hilton to both be better versions of themselves this time around in a much better offensive environment than it was in '17Has highest passing upside in fantasy among the QBs that might get you 500+ rushing yards - 45 pass TDs, 7 rush TDs in 23 career games
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Hilton can be great, but his best days have always been with Andrew Luck, who is now retired. That can't be good. The upside is clear with Watson, who has a good system and two fantastic weapons. HOU also upgrade their o-line, so he shouldn't be on his back as much.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Through his seven-year career, Hilton has finished inside the top 20 wideouts just 4 times and only once higher than #10. His upside is likely outside that top 10 being that he is 30 years old and sharing an offense with so many weapons. Add in a downgrade at QB and Hilton could end up as a WR3 by season's end.As great as Watson has been through the air over his first 22 games, he also has 820 rushing yards and 7 rushing TDs in that time. All of his underlying passing metrics went through the roof last year but his TD-rate unsurprisingly regressed. We can expect it to hang out there in the future, putting him in the 25 to 30 passing TD range. We can only help the unaddressed offensive line can keep him alive long enough to reach that mark.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Hilton had only 76 receptions, but those went for 1,270 yards and 6 touchdowns. QB Andrew Luck's retirement is going to limit his big plays and he will likely be only a WR3 in an offense unable to stretch the field.Watson was not as good as he was in his rookie season from a fantasy perspective, but he should be better in 2019 than 2018 a year removed from ACL surgery. He also was fourth among fantasy quarterback s last year, he just did not have the monster games that made him a fantasy favorite in 2018.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Hilton's outlook changes drastically with the news that Andrew Luck is retiring from the NFL. We've seen what happens to Hilton without Luck and it isn't pretty - he finished with just 966 yards, his only year below 1,000. It's a better offensive system now so Hilton should likely retain WR3 production with Jacoby Brissett, but drop him down your draft board quickly.Watson's rushing ability gives him an incredibly high floor for a fantasy quarterback, as his 551 yards rushing and five touchdowns last year more than made up for any deficiencies as a passer. With a full complement of receivers (assuming Keke Coutee's ankle injury improves) and with Duke Johnson in the fold, Watson could be in for a career year. Like last season, however, he'll likely get hit a ton, as the Texans' offensive line is still sub-par despite the draft capital they spent to address it. He's an injury risk, but should be one of the first quarterbacks taken on draft day.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
Deshaun Watson leads all quarterbacks (min. 18 games) in fantasy points per game over the past two seasons (by 1.5). @ScottBarrettDFB
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
TY Hilton went 76/120 receptions/targets with 1270/6 in 14 games last season. This season he'll be Juju lite version, 90 receptions, which he's done before in 2016, 1500 yards, reached 1448 in 2016, and a career high 8 TDs. Why? The Colts are bringing back their entire offensive line for a second year which never happens in today's NFL and Andrew Luck is fully healthy. He is going to have time to throw, and that time is going to lead too even more TY Hilton bombs. He averages 16 Y/R in his career.Stud and a half last season. Had over 4000 passing yards and over 500 rushing yards. Expect even more of the same but even better as he continues to grow as a QB. He holds the ball way too long and his O-line is not good, but if he can get rid of the ball quicker and if his O-line can even slightly improve, he could have a ridiculous season.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
As a result of a hamstring pull in week 4, Hilton missed week's 5-6, played on a limited snap count in week 7, then acted mostly as a decoy in week 8 before a week 9 bye. However, from week 10 on he posted a jaw dropping 917 receiving yards. If we take his average stat line from weeks 10-17, and extrapolate over a full season, it comes out to 100/1,834/4. Juju had the second most receiving yards over that stretch...with 163 less yards. Nick Sirianni and Frank Reich have done an amazing job with this offense, and the return of Doyle, plus the addition of Campbell should mean that no team can possibly double Hilton. He's going to have some mediocre weeks, but he's also going to win you a few on his own. I'm comfortable taking him at his current ADP.In his first two seasons as a pro, Watson has been 1st and 4th in fantasy points per game. Mobile QB's are a cheat code for fantasy, especially when they also come with passing upside. Watson is a 5TD threat every time he steps onto the field, and when you add that to his rushing floor, you get an extremely safe pick. This is not an offense built to run the football. Miller and Foreman will get their work, and the Texans will likely finish around league average in carries...but they have the weapons to install a more pass centric offense than they've been in recent years. If Hopkins, Fuller and Coutee can all stay healthy...then Watson is set to finish in the top 5 yet again.
