Lineups
The Ravens are going to throw the ball a lot more in 2020 - their rushing production is statistically unsustainable and it's unlikely they are playing with the lead in as many games as their schedule gets significantly harder. Lamar Jackson showed a solid chemistry with Marquise Brown last season and there is minimal competition for targets in the offense. Hollywood is a sophomore with WR1 upside who you can get as late as the 8th or 9th round in some leagues.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
I have had Green as the receiver to own in Cincinnati most of the offseason, but training camp has been battling hamstring issues and just does not appear that he can stay healthy. Boyd seems like the receiver to own in Cincinnati at this point.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
Brown's rookie year was bookended by a four-catch, 147-yard, two-touchdown effort in a season-opening blowout of Miami and a seven-catch, 126-yard game in Baltimore's home loss to Tennessee in the playoffs' Divisional Round. In between, he only twice surpassed 50 receiving yards in a game and only twice caught more than four passes in a game for the run-oriented Ravens. After having served as the Rams' quarterbacks coach in 2018, the offense Bengals head coach Zac Taylor installed in Cincinnati last season was similar to the one Sean McVay implemented in Los Angeles. It turned out to be Boyd who benefited most among Cincinnati's wideouts, as he was one of only seven NFL players to surpass 145 targets in 2019.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
I won't be drafting Marquise Brown in any leagues outside Best Ball this year. His upside is massively capped by the way the Ravens run their offense and by his style as a mostly deep threat. While he'll have some massive games, he's equally likely to score you less than five points. In fact he failed to pass 23 yards in half of his starts. You can talk about injuries and regression all you like, I'll draft a guy I may at least have a chance of feeling comfortable starting.Tyler Boyd put together another strong WR2 season on the back of 1000+ yards and 5 TDs, despite some bad luck around the goal line. Now rejoined by A.J. Green and John Ross and with the additions of Joe Burrow and Tee Higgins, this offense is going to look very different in 2020. That takes away from Boyd's upside a little but he should remain a major part of an offence that might finally get it together this season. He's great value in the middle of the seventh round.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
He was coming off foot surgery last year, and it was the reason I was avoiding him in drafts. Same calendar year surgery on foot/ankle never goes well for pass catchers. Still, Brown went out there and played well the first two weeks, racking up 253 yards and two touchdowns over the first two weeks. Unfortunately, the injuries to his lower body added up as the year went on and his performances reflected that, as he topped 50 yards just once over the remaining 12 games he played. Offensive coordinator Greg Roman has said Brown's "had a great offseason." Brown's schedule is great to start the year, too. In Weeks 2-5, he'll play against the Texans, Chiefs, Washington, and Bengals. The upside to Brown is a DeSean Jackson-like presence of someone who won't be a consistent WR1, but rather one you play as a WR2/3 who gives you "boom" potential on a weekly basis. However, if the Ravens don't up their pass attempts, it'll be hard figuring out when those booms will come. Relying on him as more than a WR3 this year would probably be a mistake, because there's not much evidence suggesting they'll throw the ball a lot more than they did in 2019.After finishing as the WR17 in 2018 and then the WR23 in 2019, Boyd's being disrespected in fantasy drafts, coming off the board outside the top 30 wide receivers. Sure, A.J. Green is back in the lineup, but drafters aren't high on him, either. Oddly enough, Boyd was a better fantasy asset with Green in the lineup in 2018. Boyd is 25 years old, it's surely not his age. Do people really think that Joe Burrow will be a downgrade from Andy Dalton? That can't be it. Looking at Burrow at LSU, his top receiver (stat-wise) was Justin Jefferson, who put up a stupid 111 receptions for 1,540 yards and 18 touchdowns. Jefferson was his slot receiver. While it's a different offense, we know Boyd saw 147 targets in the first year of Zac Taylor's offense. He's the ideal WR3 who's already proven to be better than that, and if the public is right on Green being "done", then Boyd would be a mega-hit in fantasy.

I am not worried about Joe Burrow getting him the ball. Boyd is the least talked about WR in fantasy and usually overlooked but his 90 receptions and 1,000+ yards in 2019, he should most certainly have your attention for 2020

Perfect breakout candidate, a top WR3 target for all formatsAJ Green has not stayed healthy, Boyd is another great pick as the likelihood Green misses time is high.

Brown had an up and down rookie season where he dealt with injuries but also showed real potential when at 100%. Now he enters year two in the NFL and should be completely healthy giving him a chance to be a terrific mid-round value. My only concern for Brown is how much the Ravens run the football, that could hurt him a few times but over 16 games it's not a reason to avoid him.Boyd had a career year in 2019 totaling 90 receptions, 1,046 yards, and five TDs. Both the receptions and yardage were career-highs. His only issue was getting in the end-zone, Joe Burrow should make that a lot easier. Even if A.J. Green manages to stay healthy, Boyd can still finish as a high-end WR3/low-end WR2.

Hollywood Brown is a massive value because of *where* he sees his targets. @GrahamBarfieldBoyd 2018 16 game pace (played 13.5): 128 targets, 90 receptions, 1218 receiving yards, 8 TDs 2019 Non-Ryan Finley 16 game pace (played 13): 156 targets, 96 receptions, 1085 receiving yards, 5 TDs. @FF_RyanB Tyler Boyd gets a lot of targets, but they have been lower leverage for fantasy points. @LordReebs

Unfortunately, Brown doesn't exactly play in the best offense to maximize his skills for fantasy football. He has the talent to be a top-24 WR, but the Ravens simply do not pass the ball enough for him to return value. He's a boom/bust play that's best plugged in as a WR3/FLEX option on a weekly basis.Boyd has plenty of competition for targets this season, but this offense is going to be among the league's best. There should be plenty of scoring opportunities for Boyd and he's a steal at his current ADP. He's a fantastic WR2/WR3 option for your roster.

Burrow's addition is huge, and Green's return isn't as disastrous as many might think, since Boyd is at his most dangerous when feasting upon No.2 corners. A near lock to go underappreciated in drafts, and could outpace Green if he develops the better immediate rapport

The good news: He was the leading target getter at WR. The Bad: The Ravens were 32nd in attempts in 2019, meaning Marquise had 71 targets. I do believe he can be an elite deep threat, with plenty of opportunity to gash the defense when they cheat up to sop the run but that is a narrative versus the numbers that Baltimore is most likely to repeat. He did have the screw removed from his foot this offseason so hopefully he can stay healthy. I see him as a flex play with upside, but the upside is not the ceiling in this case.. There are big Trusses in the wayI might be in the minority but barely putting up 1000 yards on 150 targets is more of a caution for me than anything. QB play was bad, no doubt. Think he is more of a complimentary piece in an offense That can be Jarvis Landry like at best. Not a bad thing to be, but I think his athleticism caps him.
