Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Hill was more of a streaky wide receiver early in his career who relied on big plays to get him into WR1 territory, though that seemingly ended in 2020 where he saw 10-plus targets in seven different games. Those numbers combined with his efficiency equals big things, and there's no reason to think they go away; Travis Kelce is going to be 32 years old, Sammy Watkins is gone, and they brought in no big-name wide receivers who are guaranteed much of anything. He's worthy of a first-round pick in fantasy drafts.Ridley finished as the No. 4 wide receiver with Julio Jones on the team, and that was while missing one full game. Just how much better can he be with Jones out of town? Some may worry about Ridley becoming "the guy" in the offense and seeing all the top cornerbacks, but we've already witnessed that in the games Jones missed. In the eight games Ridley has played without Jones, he's averaged 11.1 targets, 7.3 receptions, 107.0 yards, and 0.4 touchdowns, adding up to 20.1 PPR points per game. He should be a lock for 140-plus targets in 2021, making him a safe WR1.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Hill's skillset - matched with Mahomes' arm talent - gives fantasy managers the ability to win a matchup any given week. Hill is simply one of the most difficult receivers to guard due to his speed and he has the ability to put up insane numbers in this offense. Davante Adams should be the first WR drafted this year - assuming Aaron Rodgers is still in Green Bay - but Hill makes a compelling case to be the next one off the board.I was all in on Calvin Ridley last season and it certainly paid off. Ridley finished as the overall WR4 in fantasy and many people were getting him as their WR2 on their roster! For as much as I liked Ridley last season, I might like him even more in 2021. Julio Jones is no longer on this team and Ridley should see a natural uptick in targets. Ridley's arrow is still pointing up and he just might be a value again this season, which is ridiculous to say when he's being drafted as a top-10 WR. A top-5 finish is not out of the realm of possibilities again for the star wideout - in fact, I might be so bullish as to guarantee it. My Updated Very Early Projection: 90-1349-11 receiving.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Hill had 23 red zone targets, third most in the NFL, but that stat is misleading. Why? Because pretty much every target is a red zone target for someone who is as fast as Hill and in as explosive an offense as Kansas City's. Want proof? Hill has 28 touchdowns of 40-or-more yards over his last four seasons. 28! So long as Patrick Mahomes is the Chiefs' quarterback, Hill is going to be a dominant force at the wide receiver position. He and Davante Adams are the 1A and 1B options at the position, and he's worthy of a first-round selection.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Hill had 285.4 fantasy points in 15 games and he is an unstoppable force as the best deep threat wide receiver playing with the best deep threat quarterback, Patrick Mahomes. Hill should have another monster year in 2021.Ridley had 143 targets, 90 receptions, 1,374 yards, and 9 touchdowns. Ridley should be one of the most targeted wide receivers in the NFL with Julio Jones no longer on the roster.
Benjamin Klotz
Touchdown Squad
Ridley is a stud. We all knew how talented he was, but 2020 showed us what he's capable of in full healthy season and there's no reason to expect he won't repeat at least those numbers in 2021. That's because Julio is gone, making him the clear WR1 in one of the league's highest-volume passing offenses. In 7 games without Julio, Ridley put together a 50/765/3 statline - that's an average of 18 PPR points over not too small of a sample size, and as scary as it seems, it could've been even better with some touchdown luck. Ridley truly has WR1-overall upside with his elite talent whilst also possessing a very high floor due to his cemented status as the top option on this Atlanta offense. Anywhere in the 2nd round is great value for him.
Mark Ringo
Sleepers and Busts
Tyreek Hill is one of the most electrifying players in the league. He plays on arguably the best offense in the league. Don't overthink it. If you want to pull this miracle off, and win the fantasy title, what we need is speed. Demon speed. Speed is what we need. We need greasy, fast speed. So my advice is to either draft Tyreek Hill, or be like Rocky and chase the chicken. If you can catch the chicken you can catch grease lightning! The comp for Ridley coming out of college was WR Amari Cooper. Ridley's route running is great and he's fast. The only knock is his size is smaller than ideal for a #1 WR. My concerns are Atlanta will look to Kyle Pitts as the top option when they're in the red zone. With an ADP of 24th overall, Ridley's price tag is a little expensive for me.
Tim Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Last season, Hill cemented his place as one of the top receivers in the game and, IMO, the top fantasy WR in football. Last season, Hill went from a HR-or-bust big play maker to an all around reliable No. 1 receiver. Hill was targeted 10 times in a game 7 time, up from just twice in 2019, and was targeted 6 or more times in all but one game. Already a top option without the consistency, his evolution in a Pat Mahomes-lead offense has made him the top receiver in fantasy. In games where Calvin Ridley has suited up without Julio Jones, he has averaged 11+ targets, 100+ yards and 20+ PPR points per game. Now going into his first full season without Jones, no one around him has ever sniffed 1000 yards in a season and he will be in a lot of come from behind situations. It may not be the prettiest production, but Calvin Ridley is going to be a beast for your fantasy team this season as "2021's Garbage Time King."
Wolf of Roto Street
Roto Street Journal
Julio's likely departure only further secures more volume / ceiling (though run-heavier scheme likely on way)
