With new additions of DeSean Jackson, JJ Arcega-Whiteside, and Miles Sanders, you have to wonder if Ertz loses of his (tight end) record of 156 targets he saw in 2018. You also have Dallas Goedert coming into his second season after an impressive rookie campaign. Still, it's rare to find a tight end who can average 8-10 targets per game, making Ertz worthy of a pick in the top three roundsIt's clear the Bears didn't think Jordan Howard fit their offensive scheme after sending him away for a sixth-round pick, right? So, what does that say about Montgomery, who they traded up into the third-round to get? Howard finished as the RB20 in his first season under Matt Nagy. Montgomery was likely the best pure runner in the draft who's already shown the ability to handle a workhorse role, and offers more in the passing-game than Howard did, though most of that work will go to Tarik Cohen. Montgomery was drafted on a team that's built to win right now, which means he'll have big value immediately
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Ertz is my preferred PPR option at tight end, but has less scoring upside than Kelce. He's my 1B to K elce's 1B, though, so you can't really go wrong.I love what I've seen from Montgomery and as a Packers fan, it brings tears to my eyes. He's going to be very good right away and I feel like I should be ranking him higher.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Ertz saw a preposterous 156 targets last year, which led to 116 catches for 1,163 yards and eight touchdowns. He almost certainly will see a meaningful drop in targets this year with the addition of DeSean Jackson and with a healthy Darren Sproles. But he can give away plenty of targets and still finish as an easy top-three tight end. Draft him with confidence early. The Bears drafted Montgomery in the third round and he has been impressive so far this preseason. If he was all there was in the Bears backfield then fantasy owners would likely be drafting him as a low-end RB1. But of course they still have Tarik Cohen and they signed Mike Davis, so Montgomery is going to need to share the workload. Given the positive talk about him leading into the season, however, Montgomery should be drafted as a mid-tier RB2.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Career-high targets in '18 was 40+ more than his previous best - with Jeffery healthy, the backfield much improved, D-Jax now in the mix and backup TE Goedert pushing for more time, Ertz could revert back to previous target levelsDraws K. Hunt comparisons because of his vision, versatility, break-tackle running style, and former KC OC M. Nagy drafting Montgomery leads to thoughts that he's looking for his next Hunt in CHI
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Since PFF started tracking college football, no running back has forced more than 100 missed tackles in a season. Except David Montgomery, who has done it twice. Montgomery was an absolute workhorse for Iowa State over the course of his collegiate career, he racked up 1200 yards last season with the most missed tackles overall and the most missed tackles per attempt which is even more impressive. He's elusive, he's a good pass blocker, he wasn't super involved in the passing game and wasn't a very good route runner when given the opportunity, but showed some solid hands. Had 71 total receptions in his career without a single drop, so wouldn't be super surprised to see him get a little more work pass catching in the NFL but might need some time to develop if he wants to be a true three down back.

Ertz saw 156 targets last season but the Eagles added Arcega-Whiteside, DJax, Sanders, and Howard. Geodert also has another year in the system and is expected to have a larger role. - In the first 8 games last season Ertz had ONE game with less than 8 targets - In the final 8 games, Ertz had FIVE games with 8 or less targets - The three years before last he had 112, 106, and 110 targets, 75, 78, and 74 catches, and 853, 816, and 824 yards, respectively. It's unlikely he matches last season's numbers so his ADP is too high for my taste. He will definitely provide solid and reliable numbers though.Jordan Howard had 1,080 total yards and 9 TDs despite seemingly disappearing from the offense at times last season. If that is the baseline for Montgomery, he'll likely match or exceed the value at his ADP. The issue? Mike Davis may be a thorn in his side after signing in the offseason, starting the first preseason game, and being backed by Nagy throughout the offseason.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Ertz was spectacular again last season, even outscoring George Kittle in his record-breaking season. There is no doubt that Ertz will produce as long as he stays on the field, and especially with Carson Wentz back. With that said, it seems unlikely that Kittle will catch just 5 touchdowns this season with Jimmy G throwing passes so for now, Ertz sits at the end of that first tier of tight ends.Jordan Howard is now gone after producing for fantasy owners despite lackluster efficiency. Many will take this to mean that the much more talented Montgomery will become a stud from day one, but Mike Davis is in town now too and Tarik Cohen isn't going anywhere so it might not happen quite so quickly.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
Julie Ertz's husband set the single season record for receptions by a TE last year. That's the sort of upside he brings to the table. This season, I expect him to regress a bit on those numbers. DeSean Jackson was brought in, and I expect him to command at least a small target share. Alshon also appeared in just 13 games, and Dallas was a rookie TE. Assuming Alshon remains healthy, and Goedert sees the sophomore TE bump, Zach is going to see less targets. He's still an elite option, but he's absolutely behind Kelce for the top TE, and I have him behind Kittle as well. My current projection has him with 96/950/6. That sort of stat line makes him a good pick in the mid third round. Unfortunately, he's been routinely going in the late second. That's a bit too early for me.David Montgomery is a very interesting pick in the middle rounds of drafts this season. He's a better RB than Jordan Howard, and he's a much better weapon in the passing game. So, it seems like a no brainer that you should be targeting him at his 4th round ADP. They spent an early third round pick on him, their defense is still going to be elite, and their offense is on track to finish in the top 10. All of this sets Montgomery up for an amazing rookie season. There are some risks though. The Bears have said that they want to cycle in Mike Davis on early downs, and that Cohen will still be used as a pass catcher. So, this has the potential to be a committee. At the end of the day, we're going to see how they plan on running this offense during the preseason, so I'll be able to adjust my rankings accordingly. Right now, my take is that Davis is a very small threat, and that Montgomery is more likely than not to pay off his ADP. If they gave Howard 250+ carries in each of his three seasons, than Montgomery should approach that at the very least, with an expanded passing game role as well.
Kyle Yates
The Fantasy Footballers
Ertz put up unreal reception numbers last season and showed everyone that he's a fantasy force to be reckoned with. However, the Eagles added other weapons this offseason, which could take away some of Ertz's overall target numbers. With that being said, there's no reason to expect a drastic drop-off in production. Ertz is a safe pick at the TE position and should be the next player off the board after Travis Kelce.Montgomery steps into a dynamic offense and immediately becomes the starting running back for the Chicago Bears. Montgomery displayed exceptional elusiveness, vision and receiving ability in college and this sets him up extremely well to have a solid rookie campaign. Even with all the weapons there in Chicago, Montgomery is going to receive a ton of volume week in and week out. He's a solid RB2 for your fantasy team that you can get right now in the mid to late rounds.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Ertz had another monster season at tight end with 1,163 yards and 8 receiving touchdowns. He can be counted on to be one of the best tight ends in the NFL in 2019.
