Career-high targets in '18 was 40+ more than his previous best - with Jeffery healthy, the backfield much improved, D-Jax now in the mix and backup TE Goedert pushing for more time, Ertz could revert back to previous target levelsIn Half-PPR formats, he delivered 12+ FAN PTS in 10 of 12 games - He was WR14 in FAN PPG, a level he should be able to sustain in a now Gronk-less offense
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Ertz saw 156 targets last season but the Eagles added Arcega-Whiteside, DJax, Sanders, and Howard. Geodert also has another year in the system and is expected to have a larger role. - In the first 8 games last season Ertz had ONE game with less than 8 targets - In the final 8 games, Ertz had FIVE games with 8 or less targets - The three years before last he had 112, 106, and 110 targets, 75, 78, and 74 catches, and 853, 816, and 824 yards, respectively. It's unlikely he matches last season's numbers so his ADP is too high for my taste. He will definitely provide solid and reliable numbers though.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Despite the age, Julian Edelman is lined up for what could be a career year. He was on pace to eclipse 150 targets last season if he were to play in all 16 games, and that was with Josh Gordon for some time and Gronk for some time. The Pats did not make any real splashes to boost their position players this offseason, so it is going to be all Julian Edelman again for the wideouts.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
With the new additions of DeSean Jackson, JJ Arcega-Whiteside, and Miles Sanders, you have to wonder if Ertz loses of his (tight end) record of 156 targets he saw in 2018. You also have Dallas Goedert coming into his second season after an impressive rookie campaign. Still, it's rare to find a tight end who can average 8-10 targets per game, making Ertz worthy of a pick in the top three roundsThere are not nearly as many familiar faces for Tom Brady to look at nowadays, but Edelman remains as his favorite target. With Rob Gronkowski ailing last year, Edelman stepped up and finished as a WR2 or better in 75 percent of his games, a new career-high. With Gronkowski and Chris Hogan gone, Edelman's role isn't going to shrink in 2019. He's a sturdy WR2 presence

FantasyPros
Ertz was spectacular again last season, even outscoring George Kittle in his record-breaking season. There is no doubt that Ertz will produce as long as he stays on the field, and especially with Carson Wentz back. With that said, it seems unlikely that Kittle will catch just 5 touchdowns this season with Jimmy G throwing passes so for now, Ertz sits at the end of that first tier of tight ends. Those expecting Edelman to outperform his ADP might be in for a surprise as he has never finished higher than WR19 in fantasy. Part of this has to do with his inability to stay on the field and at 33 years old, reversing that tendency may prove a difficult task. He comes with reliability while healthy but perhaps with a price tag too steep.
Kyle Yates
The Fantasy Footballers
Ertz put up unreal reception numbers last season and showed everyone that he's a fantasy force to be reckoned with. However, the Eagles added other weapons this offseason, which could take away some of Ertz's overall target numbers. With that being said, there's no reason to expect a drastic drop-off in production. Ertz is a safe pick at the TE position and should be the next player off the board after Travis Kelce.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
Julie Ertz's husband set the single season record for receptions by a TE last year. That's the sort of upside he brings to the table. This season, I expect him to regress a bit on those numbers. DeSean Jackson was brought in, and I expect him to command at least a small target share. Alshon also appeared in just 13 games, and Dallas was a rookie TE. Assuming Alshon remains healthy, and Goedert sees the sophomore TE bump, Zach is going to see less targets. He's still an elite option, but he's absolutely behind Kelce for the top TE, and I have him behind Kittle as well. My current projection has him with 96/950/6. That sort of stat line makes him a good pick in the mid third round. Unfortunately, he's been routinely going in the late second. That's a bit too early for me.Since becoming a full-time starter in 2013, Edelman has averaged 2.5 more targets, 1.25 more receptions and 15 more yards per game without gronk in the lineup. His stats sans Gronk, regressed over a full season, comes out to 181 targets / 116.8 receptions / 1,289 yards / 4.8 TD's. That stat line would have finished 10th last season. Edelman has the 13th highest projection according to my model and his projection is extremely reasonable. The biggest risk with Edelman is with his health. He's really struggled to stay healthy over his career and he's got one of the highest projections for games missed due to injury this season. Fortunately, that's the only risk he carries. He's going to produce every game he plays, and he very rarely has down games. Since 2015 he has just three total games with less than 6 targets. In those games, his stat lines were, 4/84/1, 4/53/0, 4/120/1. Edelman is coming off the board as the WR 15 in the 4th round. The only way he doesn't finish as a value is if he gets hurt, and even then, he'll still get there on a per game level, So if he's hurt for 4 weeks, then just slide in one of the million under valued receivers going late in drafts. You won't be taking a 0 for the games he misses.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Ertz had another monster season at tight end with 1,163 yards and 8 receiving touchdowns. He can be counted on to be one of the best tight ends in the NFL in 2019.Edelman had 74 receptions for 850 yards and 6 touchdowns in 12 games last year. He sees a ton of short passes and he should maintain WR3 value this year.
