Jordan Reed will play Week 17

by Anthony Cervino | Wed, Dec 28th 8:09am EST

CBS NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reports Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed (shoulder) "will play" Week 17. (Jason La Canfora on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Reed, who has missed two of his past four games with a shoulder injury suffered on Thanksgiving, will play Sunday against the Giants - as the Redskins remain in the NFC Playoff picture. With Washington facing a must-win scenario, Reed will attempt to play through the painful injury and will likely have a larger role in the offense than he had in Week's 14 and 15, in which he only hauled in two targets for 16 yards. He is a risky, boom or bust TE1 for Week 17 facing a Giants defense that struggles to contain opposing tight ends.
