Demaryius Thomas underwhelms in final outing of the season

by Aaron Blauer | Mon, Jan 2nd 2:08am EST

Demaryius Thomas had four catches on six targets for 47 yards in the Broncos' Week 17 victory over the Raiders.

Fantasy Impact:

Here's the scenario - Emmanuel Sanders went down with an injury early and Trevor Siemian threw for two touchdowns in the game. So, since the Broncos really only target their top two WRs, Demaryius Thomas had to have ended up with at least one of those TDs and a decent amount of targets, right? Unfortunately not. Hopefully there weren't too many fantasy owners still counting on him in Week 17. As much as the Broncos' offense struggled this year, DT still ended up as a high-end WR2 on a pretty solid campaign. The Broncos' offense is likely to look quite a bit different next year with head coach Gary Kubiak retiring and a lot of uncertainty about the offensive line and QB position, but DT should remain a reliable option in 2017.
