Emmanuel Sanders leaves game with foot sprain in first quarter

Emmanuel Sanders' day was finished early, as he left the Broncos' Week 17 game with a foot sprain during their first offensive drive and did not return. He was not targeted in the game.
Fantasy Impact:
Sanders' injury does not sound like anything serious from a long term perspective, but with nothing on the line, there was no reason for the Broncos to try to get Sanders back on the field even if he might have been able to play. It was disappointing for anyone that was counting on him for fantasy purposes today, but that's the NFL for you. Sanders' and Demaryius Thomas' positions as the Broncos #1A and #1B WRs are secure for next year. That is certainly not the case for the rest of the Broncos' offensive personnel, however.
