Golden Tate leads Lions in last week

by Aaron Martinuzzi | Mon, Jan 2nd 5:44pm EST

Golden Tate hauled in six catches on 10 targets on Sunday night for 77 yards and a touchdown. He added one carry for seven yards on the ground.

Fantasy Impact:

Tate was quarterback Matthew Stafford's favorite target against the Packers, continuing a trend started against New Orleans in Week 13. The Notre Dame products was relatively productive but, given the Lions' focus on short passes in their offense, didn't rack up a ton of yardage. In fact, Tate managed only three 100 yard games this season and 11.8 yards per catch. He'll be a low ceiling play in daily fantasy against the Seahawks next week but figures to continue functioning as one of Stafford's primary targets in 2017, making Tate a solid flex option in standard leagues with WR2 upside in PPR formats.
