Thomas Rawls expected to start Saturday

by Anthony Cervino | Sat, Jan 7th 8:26am EST

ESPN's Ed Werder expects Seattle Seahawks running back Thomas Rawls to start in Saturday's Wild Card Round matchup against the Detroit Lions. However, the NFL Insider believes that Alex Collins has earned some opportunities in the postseason. (Ed Werder on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

For Saturday's Wild Card matchup against Detroit, Seattle's running game will be held down by Rawls -- the expected starter -- and Collins -- the capable backup -- until C.J. Prosise is available to return from his shoulder injury next week in the Divisional Round, should the Seahawks advance. Facing a Lions defense that finished the regular season ranked 25th in fantasy points allowed to opposing RBs, both of Seattle's running backs are risky options for playoff leagues and DFS formats. However, Rawls will serve as the most reliable option of the duo due to his presumed workload.
