Russell Wilson to shed knee brace

by Anthony Cervino | Steelers Correspondent | Sat, Jan 7th 1:22pm EST

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Willson plans to shed his knee brace for Saturday's Wild Card matchup against the Detroit Lions. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Wilson has been donning a knee brace since spraining his MCL in Week 3 and it has clearly affected his mobility on the field as reflected in his rushing statistics. He only ran for 259 yards on 72 attempts --both career lows -- and a touchdown in 2016. If Wilson does, in fact, abandon the knee brace, he could be more apt to take off and run more than he has at any point this season. And what better time to make this move than in a win or go home situation like the playoffs. Wilson is a solid DFS option Saturday versus the Lions.
