Isaiah Crowell, Browns contract talks break-down

by Anthony Cervino | Sat, Jan 21st 2:44pm EST

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the contract talks between the Cleveland Browns and running back Isaiah Crowell, which were "heavy" during the regular season, have broken down and are in a "stalemate." (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Crowell, who had a career year in 2016, is an impending restricted free agent this offseason and is in line to cash in from the Browns, or on the open market. Playing in all 16 games, Crowell received 198 carries for 952 yards rushing and seven touchdowns, including four games of at least 100 yards rushing. He also caught a career high -- and it's not even close -- 40 targets for 319 yards receiving, making him a viable receiving threat out of the backfield. Being one of the few bright spots on Cleveland's offense since his rookie year in 2014, Crowell will likely remain with the team in 2017.
