Carson Wentz to have voice in Eagles' offseason moves

Philadelphia Eagles beat writer Jimmy Kempski reports quarterback Carson Wentz will have an "input" on the team's offseason moves. (Jimmy Kempski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

It is no surprise that Wentz will have a voice in Philadelphia's offseason moves -- as the team mortgaged their future to move up and draft him last April. Wentz's supporting cast on the offensive side of the ball is sub-par at best, especially at wideout. Nelson Agholor, Dorial Green-Beckham, and Bryce Treggs are all arguably No. 4 receivers with limited upside, while Jordan Matthews acts as the lone bright spot of the group. At running back, Darren Sproles will turn 34 by the time next season rolls around and Ryan Mathews continues to be plagued by injury struggles to remain on the field. Zach Ertz is the team's best offensive threat, but he can't do it alone. The Eagles must dissect and dismember their wide receiver depth chart this offseason and add a pair of notable starters to the group. At running back, will Mathews remain, or will the Eagles elect to move on? In that scenario, Wendell Smallwood would step into the No. 1 role. Is he the answer? Philadelphia has a lot of work to do this offseason to build a talented and successful personnel group around Wentz if the team aspires to be a contender in 2017.
