Terrance Williams to remain in Dallas?

by Anthony Cervino | Wed, Jan 25th 4:49pm EST

Dallas Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones told the media that the team "would like to re-sign" wide receiver Terrance Williams this offseason. (Brandon eorge on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Williams is an unrestricted fee agent this offseason and could price himself out of Dallas. Although the team intends to re-sign the four-year veteran, he could elect to sign elsewhere, likely, at a much higher rate than what Dallas is expected to offer. Last offseason, Mohamed Sanu, and Marvin Jones were overpaid as the wide receiver position was weak on the open free agent market. For Williams, he could be looking for a deal similar to the five-year, $32 million contract that Sanu signed with the Falcons. If Williams departs, expect the Cowboys to re-sign Brice Butler and give him the opportunity to start in Williams' place opposite Dez Bryant.
