Kirk Cousins 'willing' to play under franchise tender again in 2017

Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins told the media he is "willing" to play under the franchise tender for the second consecutive year. "We will cross that bridge when we come to it, but I would probably do what I did last year," Cousins said via ESPN. "I will sign it and play with it. I'm not afraid." (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
In 2016, Cousins played under the franchise tag designation which was worth $19.953 million. In 2017, that number will increase to roughly $23.94 million if the two sides cannot come to terms on a long-term deal and the Redskins elect to place the tender on Cousins for the second straight year. In either case, it is more than reasonable to expect that Cousins will be donning burgundy and gold in 2017.
