Josh McCown to be released by Cleveland

Garafolo added that despite being released, McCown "intends" to continue his playing career at the age of 37 -- he will turn 38 on July 4. The 15-year veteran will attempt to land a job as a backup this offseason. He could serve as a reliable No. 2 who can play in spot duty and help groom the younger signal callers on a given roster.
