Steven Hauschka poised to play for new team in 2017

by Anthony Cervino | Sun, Feb 12th 4:44pm EST

Seattle Seahawks beat writer Bob Condotta believes there will be a "changing of the guard" at the placekicker position since the team signed Blair Walsh last week and with Steven Hauschka poised to test the open free agent market. (Bob Condotta on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Hauschka, a nine-year veteran, is not expected to re-sign with the Seahawks this offseason due to the team's acquisition of Blair Walsh last week. However, even with Hauschka's likely departure, the starting place kicker job is not a lock to be handed to Walsh. Condotta expects the Seahawks to "at least bring in another free agent, not necessarily a veteran but an undrafted rookie or younger player" to compete with, and push, Walsh for the job.
