Jared Goff earns praise from new quarterbacks coach

Recently hired Los Angels Rams quarterbacks coach Greg Olson told the media that the ceiling remains "really high" for Jared Goff entering his second year in the NFL. Olson later referenced Goff as a "tremendous arm talent." "That's the start, in my opinion," Olson said via ESPN. "When you look at evaluating the position, it's, 'What kind of arm talent does that player have?' Certainly, a very intelligent player when you look at his test scores and what he was able to do as a student. I just think there’s a lot of intangibles that we’ve all heard about him growing up, from high school through college and the NFL. Tremendous work ethic. So, there’s a lot of things there." (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Goff is entering his second year in the NFL in 2017, and barring any unforeseen setbacks, he will begin the season as the Rams' starting quarterback. After showcasing an underwhelming rookie campaign in which he produced a 1,089-5-7 stat line while playing in eight games last season, Goff will look to improve in new head coach Sean McVay's system. As the Rams are expected to move on from Kenny Britt this offseason, expect the team to bring in veteran wide receiver help via free agency in an attempt to add reliable weapons to Goff's depleted arsenal.
