Nick Foles unlikely to return to Chiefs

NFL Network s Mike Garafolo reports the Kansas City Chiefs will "likely pass" on picking up quarterback Nick Foles' option for 2017 which is valued at $6.4 million. (Mike Garafolo on Twitter)

If the Chiefs decline to pick up Foles' 2017 option, he will become a free agent. Foles, whose had an erratic career thus far in his five years as a pro, has shown enough to likely garner significant interest this offseason from quarterback-needy teams. He is a deemed a darkhorse candidate to start next season by a handful of the NFL media elite. The question remains, where will Foles wind up next season? The Jets, Bears and 49ers, among other teams, are all in the market for a reliable signal caller.
