Laquon Treadwell entering a 'critical' offseason for his career

by Anthony Cervino | Tue, Feb 21st 1:03pm EST

Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur believes "this is going to be an offseason that is very critical" for wide receiver Laquon Treadwell's career. "He's had a chance now to go through the process once," Shurmur said via StarTribune.com. "He'll have a feel for what it's going to feel like and we're anticipating he's going to come back and be raring to go and make great via improvements.” (StarTribune.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Treadwell, the 23rd overall pick in last year's draft, had a horrendous rookie season in the NFL. While being active -- and seeing limited playing time -- in nine games in 2016, he only caught one target for 15 yards total for the year. He must have a terrific offseason, and improve on his rapport with quarterback Sam Bradford to move up on the depth chart and garner increased playing time in 2017. However, if he has a sub-par offseason, his career in Minnesota could come to an end before it ever really begins.
