Alfred Morris could be on trading block

by Anthony Cervino | Thu, Mar 2nd 10:48pm EST

Clarence Hill Jr. of the Star-Telegram reports the Dallas Cowboys "will try to trade" running back Alfred Morris this offseason. The team does not view Morris as "a good fit in spot duty" behind starter Ezekiel Elliott. (Star-Telegram)

Fantasy Impact:

Morris' tenure in Dallas could be over after one season. Reports suggest that the Cowboys will try to trade him this offseason. However, they could ultimately grant him his outright release if there are no willing trade partners -- this year's running back class in the draft and in free agency is deep. Since Darren McFadden and Lance Dunbar are impending free agents, the Cowboys could be in the market to sign a veteran running back this offseason if one or both of them depart.
