Ryan Mathews a potential salary cap casualty

by Anthony Cervino | Sun, Mar 5th 11:01am EST

Philadephia Eagles beat writer Paul Domowitch believes running back Ryan Mathews "probably has played his last game" with the team. (Philly.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Mathews, who hasn't played a full 16-game season since 2013, a feat he only accomplished once, could become a salary cap casualty for the Eagles this offseason. He is due a $4 million salary in 2017, his walk year. Playing in 13 games last season, Mathews compiled 661 yards and a career-high eight touchdowns on the ground while catching 13 targets for 115 yards and a touchdown as a receiver. Barring a pay-cut, Mathews is unlikely to play out the final year of his deal in Philadelphia.
