Mike Gillislee receives original round tender

Gillislee, a restricted free agent, was given the original round tender by the Bills Monday. The 26-year-old rusher is coming off a season in which he's emerged as Buffalo's goal line back. Playing in 15 games, he's accumulated 577 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground while catching nine targets for 50 yards and another score as a receiver out of the backfield. With an impressive offseason, Gillislee could begin cutting into LeSean McCoy's touches more in 2017 to give the veteran workhorse extra rest to extend his longevity. McCoy turns 29 in July.
