Charles Johnson re-signs with Panthers on two-year deal

by Sean Fitzpatrick | Wed, Mar 8th 4:12pm EST

Charles Johnson re-signed with the Panthers on Tuesday on a two-year deal worth $9.5 million. Johnson has played in 22 games over the past two seasons while being hampered by injuries and limiting him to just five sacks in those two seasons. Panthers will still look to upgrade the pass rush in the draft or with a familiar face like Julius Peppers. (Adam Caplan on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Johnson is likely now to start and finish his career with the Panthers and is a veteran presence the Panthers DST needs. Look for them to big a bounce back bounce back candidate this season for fantasy purposes. Injuries to Johnson, Luke Kuechly and the loss of Josh Norman really hurt this DST last season.
