Tony Romo in high demand from television networks

by Anthony Cervino | Sat, Mar 11th 8:04am EST

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting Fox Sports wants to replace new San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch, who broadcasted games for the network since he retired in 2008, with current Dallas Cowboys signal caller Tony Romo if he retires. Schefter adds that other networks are interested in Romo as well. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

This is at least the second time in the past six months Romo has been pursued by sports television networks for an on-air broadcasting gig. However, Schefter reports Romo's intentions are to remain an NFL player. Romo, who believes he has another three years left in his playing career if his health remains intact, is surprisingly still a member of the Cowboys. He could be released any day now, but the Cowboys could hold out in an attempt to garner trade value in return for their longtime signal caller.
