Marshawn Lynch could return in 2017?

by Anthony Cervino | Fri, Mar 17th 8:35am EDT

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the Oakland Raiders are "strongly considering acquiring" former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch either in a trade or if he is granted his outright release this offseason. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

In a surprise report, it appears Lynch could come out of retirement for the 2017 season, and he could be pursued by the Raiders. Oakland, who lost Latavius Murray via free agency, have a need at running back. With Adrian Peterson and Jamaal Charles still available on the open market, the Raiders may go in another direction in the form of the aforementioned retired rusher. Although Lynch has not played since the 2015 season, he is still 30-years-old with fewer durability concerns then Peterson and Charles, who are 31 and 30-years-old respectively.
