Cam Newton to undergo offseason surgery

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton (shoulder) will undergo offseason rotator cuff surgery. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
It appears Newton suffered a partially torn rotator cuff during Week 14 of the 2016 season and will undergo surgery on March 30 to repair the injury. Per reports, Newton will not throw with the team until 16 weeks following the procedure and could still be ready for the start of training camp at the end of July.
