Jonathan Stewart signs one-year extension with Panthers

Jonathan Stewart signs a one-year extension with the Panthers on Friday extending him through the 2018 season. Stewart was rumored to be a cap cut but now seems more likely to stay with the extension. However, the Panthers could still use their No. 8 pick on Leonard Fournette. (panthers.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Stewart finished last season with 824 yards rushing and nine touchdowns. However, he's not much of a factor in the passing game leaving him usually as a fourth or fifth round pick. A bonus for Stewart is the arrival of Matt Kahlil, a solid LT who will try to help rebuild their offensive line. If Fournette is drafted by the Panthers, that would push Stewart back to later rounds in re-draft leagues.
