Thomas Rawls expected to enter 2017 as backup

by Anthony Cervino | Mon, Mar 27th 8:28am EDT

Byron Drahold of the USA Today's Seahawks Wire is suggesting that running backs Thomas Rawls and C.J. Prosise will enter 2017 as complimentary backs to Eddie Lacy. (USA Today)

Fantasy Impact:

Lacy signed a one-year deal with Seattle in March and is the Seahawks' presumed starting running back entering 2017. For Rawls and Prosise, they both are expected to open the campaign in complimentary roles. Rawls, who shares a similar rushing style to Lacy, will likely open the year as the latter's top backup, while Prosise should assume the role of the team's primary receiver out of the backfield due to his versatility and pass-catching skill-set. Expect Lacy and Prosise to garner the most fantasy value coming out of Seattle's backfield to begin next season while Rawls may be forced to rely on an injury to occur to the backs ahead of him to see any significant fantasy relevance.
